    Check out some early reviews:

"Rest easy everyone, Chris Nolan has outdone himself and has created a masterpiece. This may go down as one of the best movies ever. Certainly in my top 10 for best movies I've ever seen. If this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will."

Tom McAuliffe – “9 out of 10 for me. I’d put Amazing Spider-Man at a 7.5 and Avengers at an 8.5″

In reaction to who had the best moments – TomMcAuliffe – “Bane for sure.â€
“The trilogy is greater than the sum of its parts, and for me the 3rd was the very best part of the whole story. Dark knight is a classic in its own right – it stands alone, but in this trilogy, and as a closer, this film exceeds. It’s an ending that presents opportunity for thought for sure. Risky/tough story well told, brilliantly acted, great cinematography, awesome score.â€
“To your original question – there are things I criticize in every film, but this one measures high on many measures. There will be some surprises but not big ones, the beauty of the film is how well it tells the story. Tom Hardy was incredible as Bane, the storyline was fantastic. I think the Joker is far more iconic than Bane, with more memorable quotes, but this story was great, including Bane’s origin. Godfather 3 never happened. Xmen 3 & Spider-Man 3 were awful, this film was the perfect final chapter in the trilogy.â€
This movie will be epic. :bears::bears::bears:

Gotta agree with the bolded part. I actually like Godfather 3 better than those 2 films.

I hate that title. Dark Knight Rises. It would be cool if it were for part two but for a 3rd part of a trilogy ? Stupid.

  10. 'THE DARK KNIGHT LEAVES CRITICS SPEECHLESS'
'The Dark Knight Rises' leaves critics 'speechless' at preview screening.

The Dark Knight Rises received a standing ovation from US critics at a preview screening with some journalists raving that it left them in tears and 'speechless'.
The select group of 40 to 50 critics, bloggers and fans took to Twitter and Facebook to express their delight after the advance screening last week even though they have been banned from releasing full reviews until July 19.
A Batman fan called Scoop left a comment on the reader forum for the Superhero Hype blog saying: 'I think Bale gives his best performance as Batman and as Bruce Wayne in this one. He was terrific. And I especially loved his bat-voice this time around.'

Vince Peluso raved on Facebook: 'Wow quite speechless at the moment … It was everything I wanted it to be. 'Some fans will find certain aspects controversial, but in my eyes everything in the film fit the overall scheme of this instalment and the series in general, and Nolan really couldn't have made it any more epic.'

Another fan wrote on Facebook: 'I myself cried twice, once out of sadness and once out of pure, geeky uncontrollable happiness.'

YouTube reviewer Lauren Hiestand added: 'The Dark Knight Rises has just finished screening for the press and critics, receiving a STANDING OVATION!!!'

See, this is the sort of bollocks we've been discussing on other threads: total blind subjectivity. The tards who go and watch this already have this movie locked-down as Alltime G.O.A.T #1 on the wanky Internet Movie Database...it happened with the last Batman movie.

I don't know whether to go: :scratcher: or :notallthere: or :wack:

i dunno what Dark Magnuses post is on about..for some reason i cant quote the actual post cos this forum is broken

the fact that people are expecting a great movie makes it even harder for it to live up to such expectations...it's when you arent expecting much that a movie can suprise you

  18. Contact Buddy - I had the same problem a month or two back - I could only post so many characters and I got the same error as you do!

Anyway, my point is, I can remember all the frenzy when 'The Dark Knight' came out and people were going on about 'legendary' and 'seminal' and 'G.O.A.T'. :wack:

Furthermore, teenage kids going to watch a Marvel or DC movie dressed up as Spider-man or Wolverine?
    Fair enough.

25-35 year old arty types going to watch 'The Dark Knight' dressed as The Joker?
    Crucifixion.

Even if this new movie flat-out sucks (it won't of course)...The Nolantards would be so wrapped up in it...etc, etc

yeh but it works the opposite as you say...the fact that people were calling it legendary builds up alot of expectations for the audience and sets it up for a fall

Nolan apparently is giving Julie Newmar a small tribute with his Catwoman look, but to younger generations she might look more like Uma Thurman Emma Peel in The Avengers movie or like Black Widow in The Avengers movie LOL.

  22. Catwoman's the weakest link in this movie.
Hathaway doesn't have any natural sex-appeal to pull-off Catwoman unlike Pfeiffer's owning of the role (in fact, the only decent role she ever did), but it's Nolan's fault also: in all of his movies, the lead-female role does fuck-all or is totally asexual.

Hathaway is a skinny woman and her role will definitely be compared with the previous Catwomen. Interesting that in the 11 glowing reviews I have read barely anyone mentions her. I wonder...:scared2:

  24. Yup.

  25. I'm looking forward to this one.

  26. Have you seen "Love and Other drugs"?

Hathaway has enough sex appeal for ME! She has some underrated titties. She could pull it off. Mila Kunis would have been my choice though.

  27. Mila Kunis wanks all over the hathaway-thing.

YIKES! The Chicago Tribune critic Michael Phillips gave it a 2.5 rating out 5 rating. (and his review barely mentions Catwoman btw). Nolanites are cruxifying him in the comments section. Such a blasphemy! How dare he!

Roger Ebert gave it 3 stars out of 4 and basically calls it an 'honorable finale', but inferior to the previous film.
