I didn't catch the fight. Not on in Canada. Was it good fare?

 

Haye punches pretty hard

 

Decent, but premature, finish, very little of note besides that, Chisora bulling forward in a scrubby fashion and punching wider than wide, Haye looking to catch him on the way in, which eventually happened.

 

Haye can KO all the fucking heavyweight he wants...won't change the fact that he ran away like a bitch and lose every round against the weaker Klit.

Vitaly will win every round...and Haye would run again and try to survive. SO FUCK a PAYDAY for HAYE....Vitaly should cut his money short..

 

No, he has a great knack of catching guys who come forward in straight lines at a certain height, where his power is at its most effective. When he pushed off and landed his right on Wlad, it had minimal effect. We cannot underestimate the effectiveness Derrick had in maximising Hayes power. ::

That was a great heavyweight fight and the stoppage was just fine. I'm saying that although it cost me money but Chisora ate like 3-4 hooks before he went down.

I still don't think he's a huge puncher at heavy. He has good power. Chisora was hurt by Tyson fury, it's not like he has an iron chin.

That was an awesome left hand though, landed super flush, a bit like Martinez vs Tall Paul.

But if Haye was a proper KO puncher, Chisora wouldn't have come close to beating the 10 count.

 

He didn't, he obviously looked hurt, but it's not like he was stumbling all over the place or didn't know where he was. You see fights continue all the time with fighters that look as hurt as that.

It was an early stoppage, Chisora could have recovered.

He hit wald pussy flush several times with the right hand, and it did nothing. That's proof enough for me he isn't the devastating puncher he's made it to me.

It's the Freitas syndrome imo. He REALLY commits to punches, and has good power, which leads to a good KO ratio and some nice knockouts - but at the highest level you realise he doesn't really punch that hard.

The 2 best/biggest guys he's fought at heavyweight, he couldn't put a dent in, just like Freitas couldn't put a dent in Chico or Diaz, despite both of them being far from iron chinned.

 

Its a bit of both. The way to beat Haye is to put him on the back foot and don't get caught coming in. Do that and you win. Wlad did it, Chisora didn't, and lost. He has power, but its like a trapper in the wild, its not the power of the jaws of the trap, its the scent of the bait too. Its about luring the beast into range where the jaws of the trap spring shut to the most devastating effect.

Haye, like a trap, fears the clever mouse that can eat his cheese and not get snared. A long jab is all you need to really fuck him up. When Chisora jabbed, he drew blood from Hayes nose.

Chisora is going to wind up penniless and doing hard-time, I guarantee it. His boxing career should be over by now, that's 4 defeats in 5, IIRC.

It was a pretty entertaining fight, but I really don't like Haye's stupid style. Just shuffles around with his hands down, switching stance etc. Not that dissimilar to a heavyweight version of Hamed.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's featherfisted, he clearly has some power, but I think it's more Freitas type power rather than true KO power.

I'm not that impressed with KO's over Barrett, Audrey, and Chisora. The Ruiz KO is more impressive, but really, who knows how durable Ruiz was at that stage of his career? It had been years since he faced anyone worth a shit.

 

This is dangerously close to a compliment to a guy who is a bigger pussy than the biggest pussy ever to win the Heavyweight Title. Haye is a bigger pussy than wald pussy. FACT.

 

How many of Haye's recent opponents bar Wlad had consistent winning records of late?

Chisora had lost three of his previous 4, Ruiz was so badly faded its not funny, Barrett?

Only Valuev had something of a consistency and he probably lost to Holyfield.

 

Well that's basically my point yeah. The 2 best fighters of his career, and the 2 most legit heavyweights, he couldn't put a dent in.

I just don't think KOing scrubs or washed up fighters tells you that much. There are numerous examples of guys looking like brutal punches against subpar opposition, only for their power to look decidedly unremarkable when they step up in class.

Haye isn't very good. He is also a 6 round fighter. Had he not stopped Chisora, he might have had a go although, I think had it been 12 Haye would have been stopped. He was gasping for air after 3 rounds.

 

I thought Haye looked real good and will be a real threat to Vitali.

 

I expect Vitali to beat him 12-0.

 

Yeah, I expect Haye to take exactly zero chances in the ring with Vitali.

Agreed, I expect Haye to just shuffle around switching stance with his monkey arms for 12 rounds, getting worked over by Vitali's plethora of arm punches.

 

Haye does not deserve to have a title shot.If boxing were a sport, he'd be suspended for his behavior in the wald pussy fight.

 

Haye look gassed early, but finished in style. Not a bad fight.
