Not for 35-40 reps in a 5 minute period, no.
I've been to many, many gyms, the only guys I've ever seen benching that kind of weight are big guys in their 20s, who lift 3-5x a week.

Even benching 225lbs for 10 reps means he would have a 1 rep max of 300lbs.
And a lot of these guys who do these exercises only do 3/4 reps instead of locking out. Some even do half reps where they lift the bar like 6" off the chest and they count that as a rep. LOL!

 

Sly, you're a sprinter - what kind of excersises/weights/reps do you do for your quads, hams and calves?

Oh ya so let me clarify that I can do 6 proper reps and two crappy reps making it 6.5 reps @ 225!
