...will he go down in history for the infamous handwraps or for defeating boxers like Sergio Martinez, Miguel Cotto and giving a tough fight to Manny Pacquiao?

 

I don't think he did any more than provide Pacquaio with a hard workout.

Regarding his ultimate reputation, if a fighter can be remembered more for losses or a stylistic deficiency than anything else he has done, then yes, certainly a cheat deserves to be remembered for being just that, more than anything else.

Margarito brought the game into serious disrepute.
