I was going to ask the same thing, who the hell is Alvarado?

He's been fighting on PPV undercards for a while now. Had a war with Prescott under Pac/Marquez, I think the last time I saw him was in another good fight under Rios/abrill

 

Prescott dropped him with a jab if I recall.

 

this is probably going to be the most entertaining fight since marquez-vazquez 3

 

Should be a war. I don't think Alvarado is that much bigger, but I'll go with him anyway.

 

Wow, Rios sure has gone down in most people's estimation, now most people are picking him to get beat by some guy I've never heard of.

I'd never heard of Abril to be fair, but surely Alvarado isn't a slick boxer like Abril?

Not sure someone who had a war with Prescott is going to beat Rios. I think Rios would batter Prescott.

 

Alvarado is nothing special at all. Rios should win, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins by stoppage.

Obviously though, if Bam Bam does struggle or lose, it basically tells us that he'd get slaughtered by say..... Matthyse.

 

so because you have never seen Alvarado fight automatically he isnt good nice logic. this will be foty for sure, rios has more skill but alvarado hits harder imo.

 

Where did I say he can't be any good because I haven't heard of him? He might well be good, but generally good boxers get talked about more than this guy.

To be honest, neither Alvarado nor Rios are anything special. I wouldn't pick either with any confidence. Should be a great fight though.

 

I just watched the Prescott - Alvarado fight. I don't see anything special in Alvarado. The only advantage he might have over Rios is his size. It sure looks like an exciting fight though.

 

Rios is a bell-end. Whoever Alvarado is, and I had seen the guy fight without even knowing I was watching him, I wish him the best. Death to Rios.

Why?

As I said before, Rios is clearly not as good as I thought he was, but he is mainly susceptible to slick/negative boxer types like Abril, who fucking schooled him.

From the sounds of it, this "Alvarado" is an aggressive fighter, not a defensive boxer type.

 

Why? Rios has looked like shit and Alvarado is bigger and hits harder. Going to be a war with Alvarado winning by TKO.

 

He has looked like shit I agree, but I think much of that is being weight drained at 135. We'll see.

Murray got stopped in the 11th round, and only won 2 or 3 rounds.
