In which case he might go out & bother to throw some fucking punches. Failing that, he throws 10 a round, gets out-jazzercised in 7 of 12 and loses a close decision.

I agree. I really don't see how Dawson beats Calzaghe.

Its competitive early on, I think. But from the mid rounds on, Joe would just take over with his workrate, hand speed, and angles. Would be 9-3 or 8-4 type score on the cards.

Dawson is just too methodical in the ring to beat Joe.

 

Presuming that Hut's bomb doesn't go off (::), Calzaghe wins handily. Far too busy for Dawson,who simply doesn't like boxing much.

I long since ceased trying to reason with the Celtic -Alliance on Calzaghe but I always enjoy your contributions when he is brought up in a thread. In this one alone I've actually -ed at least three times (especially at the image of Hut, sitting conspiratorily with a deranged grin on his mush as he scatters Joe over a wide radius via explosion).

Based on my eyes. I've always thought it was an easy fight for Joe and that he should have taken it before he retired. Dawson isn't on that level.
