    Ray Liotta or Nicolas Cage
    And it's not even close...

    Val Kilmer or Tom Cruise
Tough one...I fucking love Kilmer's Doc Holliday and he was good in HEAT. But at the end I have to pick bitch ass Cruise.

    Brad Pitt or George Clooney
Can't stand Clooney....Pitt in Seven/FightClub/Inglourious Basterds /12 Monkeys/Sleepers shits on anything and everything Clonney has ever done.

    Denzel Washington or Don Cheadle
Denzel...Cheadle was very good in Hotel Rwanda. Denzel was better in everything else.

    Jonah Hill or Michael Cerra
Neither one is incredible funny on their own...Jonah has been in funnier movies so i guess i pick him.

Strange thing is Gatti, none of these guys are really comparable to each other. It all depends on the role, I guess.

Who's better? .........who do I like better.........who's the better actor?

Somebody like Val Kilmer probably had more talent then anybody on this list at one time. He pretty much pissed it all away and never came close to living up to his potential.

    Ray Liotta or Nicolas Cage

I prefer Liotta but Cage is probably the better actor when he wants to be. Cage can also make a shitty movie fun to watch, when he decides he has nothing to lose and just goes 100% camp.

    Val Kilmer or Tom Cruise
Kilmer had more talent in his pinkie at one time, then Cruise ever had in his whole body. Cruise works hard though, and Kilmer never really gave a shit about anything. Give me any random Cruise movie, I know I'm going to be entertained. Kilmer.......most likely it's some straight to video piece of shit nowadays..........not even art cinema shit, just shit.

    Brad Pitt or George Clooney
Charming, witty, white collar office worker or some other quirky, narcissistic character.........give me Clooney. Clooney's one of the smartest actors in the industry. Never goes against type.........know's exactly what his capabilities are and plays towards his strength's. A lot like Tom Hanks in that regard.

Any edger, dirtier, grimier character............I'll take Pitt, who seems to be at his weakest when he's trying to play a straight-laced, straight-forward, conventional character. "Moneyball" notwithstanding, which he was excellent in.

    Denzel Washington or Don Cheadle
Two completely different acting styles. Denzel is a star with the charisma that comes with being a star, and acting chops he can pull out on occasion when he feels the need to use it.

Cheadle is the consummate character actor, who occasionally gets to "star" in movies. He's not really a headliner, but he can knock just about any "type" of role out of the park, on a critical level, if not a box office level.

    Jonah Hill or Michael Cerra

I like Cera, but he's a one-trick pony. Great at the angsty sort of comedy he excels at. Like a twenty-something Woody Allen type I guess. I can't see him doing much else though.

Hill annoyed me at first, but he's turned into a pleasant surprise who can play a larger range of characters then I expected. He was disturbing in "Cyrus" and excellent in a more low key role in "Moneyball".

    1. Probably Cage. I think his very best performances are better than Liotta's. Actually, not probably. I'd definitely say Cage.

    2. With the overall body of work, Cruise is above Kilmer. However, Kilmer in Tombstone is individually better than Cruise in any movie.

    3. I'd say Pitt, though not by much. Both improved over the years. In the 90's neither one was a very good actor. Today both are good.

    4. This is the easiest choice. Denzel, and it's not even close. Cheadle is a good actor, but nowhere remotely close to Denzel's level. Zel is a top 10 all time actor, and on another level from anybody else on this list.

    5. Probably Jonah Hill. He proved in Moneyball that he can actually be a pretty decent actor. But I'm not a fan of either one.

This is based on accomplishments, not personal preference. Pitt vs Clooney is a damn tough one, both are very well accomplished.

I'd take Jessie Eisenberg over both Hill and Serra. He's funnier, and is a much better actor. His performance in The Social Network blows both their careers away.

He was also good in the movie Roger Dodger.

The comedic part is debatable, but in a non-comedy I think Eisbenberg has the potential to be much better than both.

Cage is a brilliant actor it's a shame he sold his soul many moons again. He has not made a decent movie in donkeys.

Never understood the comparison myself between Cera and Eisenberg.

They have some similar quirks, but Eisenberg is generally a dramatic actor and Cera a comedic actor, and I see very little overlap in abilities.

Eisenberg would have sucked in "Juno" or
Scott Pilgrim", and Cera would have sucked in "The Social Network".

As a fan of the original I kinda avoided that movie, however I have heard good reviews on here about the new shiny version.

Honestly, I think Werner Herzog either lifted the name or signed on to do a "sequel", and just made whatever the fuck he wanted.

Only similarities between the movies is Bad Cop grows a conscience, but in a warped fucked up way.

Wouldn't call it shiny either. Probably just as low budget as the first.

I agree that Cheadle will never be a big star liek Denzel, but their pure acting abilities are at a comparable level. Denzel has a bit more charisma.

Agree, although I think Clooney is very good, particularly in From Dusk til Dawn.

    Michael Cerra is one-dimensional.
