The guy is just playing a role for the cameras. I can't imagine that if it was for real that shit wouldn't have gotten old to him by now.
He only makes boxing earnings. Once he's gone from boxing, he's not getting any more money. He'll be broke within 10 years.
Give the guy a break. It's all he's got in his life.:: Aging deteriorating boxer nearing retirement. The money will dry up very soon.
I'm sure Tyson is thankful that he can live in a 3 million dollar home after having claimed bankruptcy and being raped of his money by everybody around him but even still, what is a 3 million dollar home to show for a guy who boxed professionally for 20 years, generated more money than possibly any other athlete in history and SHOULD have at least a quarter billion dollars in earnings sitting inside his bank account right now? :dunno: By the way, not going to pin the blame on everybody except Tyson for having lost most of his money. The guy paid his gardener 250k to mow his lawn and paid a million+ for a couple of white tigers. It's obvious the guy lived large and didn't have a clue about money. He f*cked himself just as much as the people who f*cked him throughout his career. He should've learned to take care of himself as his mentor taught him.
come on guys we all know that Floyd looks like a dick but kids love this shit, unfortunately...all that gangster rap culture, the market for this shit is insane...do you think ANY of them are actually for real?? floyd knows this and is playing to it....50 cent talks about money everywhere he goes too and the kids eat it up.."get rich or die trying" :l2:
It's not just that the kids love it, it's that the old fuddy duddies who take themselves too seriously get indignant and bitchy over it (witness this thread). Both assist in increasing his notoriety and selling tickets/ppvs.
Floyd hasn't made a penny from me from buying PPV's or tickets. Nor will he. I admire his ring talent, otherwise I think he's a clown.
:Thumb: this reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Moe steals Homer's drink idea....then Homer is repeatedly trying to tell Moe that he's lost him as a customer, but Moe can't hear him over the sound of the other customers and cash register opening every second :finger: Homer: You just lost yourself a customer! Moe: Wha? I'm sorry, Homer I couldn't hear you Homer: I said you just lost yourself a customer! Moe: Huh? Homer: You just lost yourself a customer! Moe: Homer you're going to have to speak up! Homer: You just lost yourself a customer, Moe! Moe: I've forced myself to wha? Homer: You just lost yourself a customer! Moe: Homer.. I'll talk to you tomorrow! Homer: You just lost yourself a customer! Moe: Yeah you can use it!
Fiddy Cent is Pretty Fucking INSECURE Himself...This is a Guy that BRAGGED about Being Shot 9 Times, on his 1st Studio Release... Neither Floyd NOR Fiddy R SMART Enough to CREATE Images like this...It's WHO these Guys R.... REED:Thumb:
I honestly don't think so. I think Floyd really is just a complete tard, and a mannish boy with the mental age of a teenager.
Precisely... We're Supposed to Believe that Floyd is Smart Enough to MANUFACTURE This Persona, yet he's NOT Smart Enough to Stay Current on his Income Taxes???... REED:atu:
The guy acts like a 17 year old. And young kids love seeing that shit. That whole "Money May" persona and stuff. They eat that up.
I'm sure he is. I don't think the personality is entirely manufactured. He started to bring it out around the time of the Gatti / Judah / De La Hoya fights as a way to talk shit and boast. It's kind of like Mayorga. His shit talking was an element of his personality, but when he noticed it worked and got him attention, he took it to the next level. I mean come on, he's counting out $1 million in bricks of money on a private jet on camera .. I doubt he sits in his bedroom waving stacks of cash at his fiancee or in the mirror when the cameras are off.
Uuuuuh, Floyd's Fiancee is an Opportunisitic Gold Digger...When Floyd ISN'T Whipping it Out in Front of her, he's SPENDING it On Her... REED:hammert:
You can't really blame her, REED. Floyd's not really a guy who would have women fawning over him unless he was rich and famous. He's not going to attract quality career women who have a semblance of dignity. The guy is a low class thug who comes from a dysfunctional family.
No argument there. She is fine, but undoubtedly a low rent gold digging ho. I doubt that ends well. Nevertheless, Floyd's behavior has everyone here talking. It keeps him in the media. As promotion, it works very well.
REED Never Argued the Promotional Merit of Floyd's Behavior, but it Definitely ISN'T an Act he's Putting On... He REALLY Thinks he's BETTER than Those of Us w/LESS Money & He Honestly COULDN'T Care Less about his Boxing Legacy OR Leaving the Sport, that MADE him Rich & Famous in the 1st Place, Better Off than it was Before Him... REED:hammert:
I'll give him credit for one thing. He was his own man and promoted himself, ensuring he made as much money as he possibly could whereas most other boxers sold their souls to the likes of Don King and those other con-men in the game. He also needs to thank De La Hoya for helping to make him a blockbuster ppv draw.
I wish he went broke like Luis Resto. Sleeping on the basement of some cheap ass broke gym in a slum.
