"Ike Who?" "He needs to build himself up, I'm self promoter,I'm my own BOSS, is he his own boss?" "Olympic test motherfucker" "I'm a PPV star, who is IKE?" "Ike needs to prove himself"...
Total total total total mismatch I Ana Ike fan but I was great beating up bums..Floyd is on another levell
Pleeeease... Floyd just managed to beat an old, used-up version of the guy Ike took to the brink 10 years earlier in his prime... this is no mismatch Ike Quartey would be the best over-140 fighter Floyd has ever been in with by a fucking mile
Money may would make Ike earn his money by showing him...he might be from Ghana but he can't handle a real real black snake that shoots white venom in his ASS
Floyd just had an uncle called "Black Mamba", Ike is from Africa and has the real Black Mamba in his PANTS He would take Floyd's pants off and shoot venom on his face like a desperate hoe
Quartey would be the best fighter Floyd has fought at 147 by a LONG shot. Floyd doesn't have the size or power De La Hoya had, and that jab would be a big obstacle for him to overcome. I think Floyd is good enough and versatile enough that he could beat him, but it wouldn't be easy. Of the three top welterweights of the 90s - Trinidad, De La Hoya, Quartey - the only guy I could see Floyd being eager and ready to fight would be Trinidad, since he would easily whip Tito's ass from start to finish and get phat paid for doing it. No way in hell he ventures as high as 154 lb, where Fernando Vargas was. He was calling out De La Hoya even from his days at 130, but given that he was at 130 I don't know how seriously he expected that to be taken.
A tough fight here. Quartey at his peak was a beast, and he would have beaten Whitaker had they fought before Whitaker got into trouble.
I don't see Floyd getting past that jab with too much sucess. Quartey wins a pretty close decision, in an unventful fight.
Ike would give Floyd alot of problems I think. His jab and strength would negate alot of Floyd's infighting tactics. I think its a similar fight to Mayweather-De La Hoya, with Floyd picking and choosing his spots, and getting out of the way of the incoming to win a close decision. That being said, Ike will probably bust Floyd up pretty good with his jab and having him bleeding from the nose and mouth.
