Jon Jones Asked Dana White To Have Chael Sonnen Stop Calling Him Out

I remember a time when the only butt of this joke would be Chael. You have the Champ who has cleaned out his division, made a reputation on taking all comers, was set for another big fight that got cancelled. Now the smaller, less decorated LOSER of his last fight at a lower weight is allowed a voice? We all know Chael is a showman, and if you allow him to confuse you with his antics, he will...I didn't see Jones's comment as hypocritical. I read it as "If this clown earned the challenge, I wouldn't hesitate to smash him."

I think Jones is just asking Dana to tell the showman to shut up; its annoying.

 

Understood. Would this same theory apply to all fighters?? Could this become the new method of earning a title shot? Of the folks siding with Chael, I'd bet they wouldn't bet big money on him against Jones. I know you mentioned you don't follow as closely; fine. But Chael has zero to lose here. I do agree with you, like I said, it would be more difficult for him to wrestle the bigger guys. And personally I think him Vs Jones is a mismatch, which is why it's absurd that Jones didn't just fight him and net an easy win.
