Is JCC good enough to beat a guy who stopped Zbik?

Easy work for Sturm, as long as he hasn't gotten old and still has his jab.

If Chavez Jr. beats Martinez...then Sturm is a walk in the park.

However they should fight on neutral grounds....Jr should NOT go to Germany...and Sturm should not fight him in the Southwest USA...

Sturm would give both Martinez and JCC a tough fight.

Sturm has slowed down so that I'd pick Chavez over him now. Sturm has been a leap amateur par excellence, with high guard, good movement and superb jab. He has never had much of inside game though, so I think Chavez with his energetic style and strength could overwhelm him

If he's slowed down, that's a different story. Chavez doesn't get inside on the Sturm of a few years ago, imo.

Possibly. Although Sturm is a very basic boxer he's really good at what he does. He's a level above anybody Jr. has fought so far. I doubt either guy fights on the opposite side of the pond unless there's a huge payday.

Have to see how JC SuperPeds does against monkey James Bond first to really measure him against another top middleweight... He hasn't fought any, after all

Sturm is not as good as you guy's think he is. He got a couple of draws and close calls vs some of the scrubs that litters his garbage resume. He's far more of a faud than Chavez is. Chavez beats him

Regardless, he is still better than any man Chavez has been in with. This is not debatable

Both Sturm and JCC Jr fought Zbik recently, one of them stopped him, the other won a MD.

I know that, but imo, Chavez has improved leaps and bound since. And it's telling that it's probably Sturm best win while it was the first world title fight for Chavez at 25 and no amateur xp

Oh please that was a year ago... and he was behind 4-2 against Lee at the time of the stoppage. I'd bet he wouldn't do much better against Zbik today...

it was nearly 2 years ago and even if it was a year ago it would be irrevelant. A young fighter can improve tremoundsly in a short amount of time, especially when he learns from a tough fight ( and especially more when he started the game old). We see it all the time when a young fighter gets his first tough fight, he usually either crumbles or improves. An example would be Tyson who looked bad vs Tillis but was an absolute beast less than a year later. IMO, Chavez would dominate Zbik now

JCC Jr has damn near 50 pro fights. He may lack am experience, but he's got plenty in the pros.

Exactly. The no amateur experience thing could be brought up 2-3 years ago, but the guys is a full fledged pro with a lot of experience under his belt now.

Here's the deal. Spurm is shite. I mean, actual rubbish, jazzercise shite. He has had a few life or death fights with some average fodder, including garbage like Macklin who is, well, garbage. Yet I thought Matthew won that fight; close but clear enough. Yet I think he'll fucking splatt JCC, who is BEYOND poo. Beyond poo; this boy is such a chump his old man would disown the cunt given half a chance.

20 years ago, guys like Benn, Watson, Eubanks, Graham, Toney, Hopkins, Jackson, Kalambay Nunn, McCallum, RJJ etc fought for the middleweight championship of the world. Today, some guy who had a famous dad fights a guy who sounds like ejaculate to be the guy behind a welterweight who took over from an alki.

    Dear me.

    MTF

As of now, I agree, he may still gains some xp and improve but he can't complains about not being ready. but by the time he fought Zbik, his first championship fight ever, I thought he was still green and lacking in experience.
