Geale vs Sturm

Sturm is pretty much in control as of now (6th round) as Geale seems soft, smaller and devoid of any punching power

 

Close 6th round and Geale clearly won the 7th. The fight is pretty close as shown by the online scoring wich is split 50-50, literraly.

 

Ater seeing this fight, I'm more convinced than before that Chavez would beat Sturm. He can't fight inside at all and if Geale had stay there instead of trying to box, he'd have won convingcinly imo

 

Geale took the last 2 rounds, even seemed to hurt Sturm at the very end. Close fight

 

Yes, Sturm fraud reign comes to an end as Geale took the sd. I don't expect him to stay champ for too long as he's pretty ordinary but great win for him

 

You are right, that Sturm wouldn't stand a chance against Chavez... I don't agree that Chavez has improved leaps and bounds after Zbik but definitely over the course of the last years and moreso his whole career. He might not even get outboxed much at the beginning because Sturm couldn't fight at a pace Zbik did. Zbik fought the fight of his career against Chavez. I've never seen him as good before or after. He would have got KOed against Chavez if he came in the kind of shape he did vs. Sturm.

Interesting, I was shocked that Sturm stopped Zbik as I expected a close fight between the 2

 

Me, too! Zbik basically quit, he wasn't getting hurt all that much. He didn't show up like he did vs. Chavez - that's for sure.
