    Former England Cricketer, Andrew Flintoff, has announced plans to become a professional boxer. Apparently, Barry McGuigan will train Flintoff, 34, who aims to make his pro debut in manchester in November. Flintoff though has yet to be granted or to even apply for a BBOC licence, according to the organisation's general secretary.

    Cricket to boxing is a natural transition. Not much different than a 100M sprinter trying out the 200. Just a few tweaks need to be made.

    Even clowns who used were handy with their fists as teens have failed miserably when they're 30+......shopworn from rugby league, cricket or whatever and far more interested in money, pies and beers than roadwork.

    This Dawson fella fought twice in Oklahoma, so this is his first overseas pro fight. In one of his fights he and his opponent were deducted a point for constant holding.

    I'm genuinely stumped as to why he's doing this. McGuigan can put as much spin on it as he wants but Flintoff is not a boxer and never will be.
