Has anyone seen this ? Adamek won by TKO in 5. Both were down in round two i think if I recall reading correctly. Supposedly a good fight. I actually thought Walker was gonna take this.

Adamek is not an ordinary heavyweight, for the simple reason being that he is not a heavyweight. I find it remarkable that people say "Oh, he's at heavy now, so that's how we have to judge him, as a heavyweight", when the same people spent years telling anyone who would listen that Chris Byrd was a "Blown up middlweight".

Adamek has a small frame and a small back and smallish arms for a so-called heavyweight. He's small at the weight.

Every win he has against these bigger guys is a good win, in my opinion.

And, in his defence, he;'s not an earmuffer.

Adamek is a Gatti for the 21st century.

While I like both guy's, I would have loved to see the Chin pull the big upset. Even so, he gave a good account of himself and showed a decent chin in the loss ( another couple of performance like this and I'll have to find him a new nickname :pathetic: )

I haven't seen much boxing this year but round 2 has to be a contender for round of the year easily.

Golovkin vs Proksa and Adamek vs Walker were great fights....my guess is that the lack of interest in both fights at this forum is reflective of a general lack of interest overall. It's quite possible that Adamek won't get a mention in any "fight of the year" or "round of the year" conversations simply because people chose to ignore him, usually on the grounds that the "division is shit". :wack:

Yet here we are scraping the floor looking for an opponent for Andre Ward. That's depth.
