A fight with Lucian Bute would had been awesome before Bute lost to Froch. Now why fight his son's son? He should go after Tavoris Cloud's belt and I give 99.9% chances of winning that one too.

Golovkin is who HBO seemed to want. he should fight the "hurricane"

Shouldn't HBO be pushing for Golovkin vs the Martinez/Chavez winner?

    Me neither.

Personally I have a hunch that Golovkin stops either Martinez or Chavez.

bad call by HBO (again) if this is true. This fight could be potentially huge a few years down but right now, Golovkin is unproven and basically a nobody. He should fight Geale ( an easy fight for him where he would look explosive imo ) then the Martinez-Chavez winner. Only after that, should he consider moving up and that's only if he can't make a fight with Alvarez. As for Ward, if he wants to fight guy's from other division he should either move up or move down.

If he wants to stay at 168lbs, there's not a whole lot of things he can do there right now. The best fight for him, exposure wise and financially, would be Pavlik but I'd want Pavlik to fight a top 168lbs before facing Ward. As of now, there's too much question mark surrounding him and it would have the potential to, once again, have the stain of a sham. So he hsould take a stay busy fight with either Anthony Dirrel, Georges Groves or, better, Rodriguez if he beats Escalera. After that, he'd possibly have a whole lot more option. One of the Dirrell could make themselves an attractive opponent, Adonis Stevenson too if he strech Georges and another contender, Pavlik could be ready, he could fight the winner of Froch-Bute II or maybe Thommy gun beats someone meaningfull and makes himself interesting. There's a lot of young blood coming up at 168, but if HBO wants to make meaningfull fight with Ward, they'll have to push them too. ( like their doing with Rodriguez ).

But as a fight fan, I'd want to se ward move up to lhw. Plenty of interesting matchup there and he seems so much better than the rest at 168

    I voted Chavez/Martinez winner

However, I believe it is far more likely if the winner of the fight is Chavez

Any of those options except the first two would be koo'. I'd like to see the Cloud fight personally, I enjoy watching Tavoris.

If he DESTROYS Bute Again, a Bout w/Froch, Perhaps Overseas, Wouldn't B a Bad Option...Guys like Stevenson & Ooooswhatever Need to Fight EACH OTHER 1st, to Put Themselves in the Mix...They're just BARELY "Name" Fighters...Even a Kessler RE, Overseas, would B a More Attractive Option than Stevenson or Oooosman, in REED's Opinion...

Surely Team Pavlik is SMART Enough NOT to Take a Fight w/Ward...If BHop SCHOOLED Pavlik, what would a YOUNGER, More ATHLETIC Version of the Executioner Do???...MISMATCH...If that Bout is Made, it's a CASHOUT Fight on Pavlik's Behalf...If Chavez Jr. BEATS (or is Competitive w/) Martinez, a Bout w/Ward Would B 1 of THE BIGGEST Fights to Be Made, OTHER than Pac-Mayweather...Do it in Vegas, on Cinco de Mayo Weekend & U're Looking @ Nearly a Million PPV Buys, Possibly...

Ward-Dirrell will NEVER Happen...They DIDN'T Want to Face Each Other 8 Years Ago, when an OLYMPIC Spot was Potentially @ Stake, so they're NOT Going to Face Each Other Now...Besides that, REED has a Feeling Dirrell Already KNOWS he Can't Beat Ward...

The Bottom Line is, Andre Ward is in a VERY Good Place...BURGEONING Super Stardom & a Host of Fairly Recognizable "Names" that will Bring Forth Good Paydays...

Unless he's Having PROBLEMS Making the Weight, REED Would like to See Ward REMAIN @ 168 for the Next Year or So...He Just WAXED the Best Guy @ 175...Let's See if Chad Can Re-Group & Position Himself for a RE (Doubtful) or If Someone Else can SUPPLANT Chad as The Man @ Lightheavy....

I would like to see him fight the winner of Martinez-Chavez Jr. I would settle for a Pavlik fight too but only if Pavlik can get his career back on track. To be honest though, I don't see any of those guys beating Ward, he's just that good.

Calz is a full blown coke head now. If he came back to fight Ward at this stage he'd be stopped within 4-5.

Based on how Ward looked last night, even prime Calz gets spanked.

I would lean slightly towards prime Calzaghe in a fight against Ward. It could go either way.

Right now..... Ward would absolutely SODOMIZE Calzaghe.

Stylewise i think Bute matches up with Ward pretty well. Of course he has to deal with Froch first who he doesn't match up well with.

Calzaghe would have ducked Ward if they were both around at the same time.

Calzaghe could have beaten Ward. I'm not saying with certainly that he does beat Ward but Calzaghe has a tool set that no one else has and no one else Ward ahs fought. Calzaghe brings an overwhelming swarming punch output that has shut down many top fighters, even crafty fighters. I think Calzaghe's style gives Ward fits but I wouldn't bet on that fight if had ever happened. No way Joe C comes back today and beats Ward though. Its a mythical match-up at this point.

Ward would kick Pascal's ass all over the ring, and probably stop him late since Pascal's stamina is horrible.

I agree with this. Calzaghe has become criminally underrated. Ward has gone from being underrated to overrated to, sort of like a badly managed battery, he needs to be allowed to settle back down to an appropriate voltage we can all reasonably agree on.
