That last round was insane, for a few moments it looked like one of the craziest scripts in boxing history was about to be written.

I overrated Chavez's ability to use his advantages, I did not underrate Martinez.

 

I think the ending will bite Martinez ego constantly and that he will try to make the rematch asap.

If I was Chavez, I wouldn't take it though. He landed a miracle shot in the 12th round but it's not like if it was anything else than luck ( plus, toward the end of the round, it seemed to me Martinez was back in control ). I'd go for a showdown with Alvarez. Smaller fighter who's not as slick as Martinez is.

He waited because he was being almost constantly touched by Martinez.

Just like Pacquiao Vs PLasterito. That scumbag is also tough and gutsy, but if you remember, his punch output was fuck all because he was constantly getting punched with fast, accurate punches he couldn't see coming.

No one is going to walk forward and throw lots of punches against someone as fast and sharp as Martinez.

I expect the rematch to be very similar, only this time Martinez doesn't get careless.

 

In an odd sort of way, I think Macklin turned in a relatively and comparably good performance vs Martinez.
