Definitely Chavez is a stupid mexican and the son of the destroyer of rican fighters, but we will adopt him for one fight against a nazi gringo...

Martinez and Chavez are both pretty scrubby, but I'm glad we have something boxing related to argue about again.

I just seen the Soto Karass fight. Gaydana's jab was working a treat, early on.

Good fight, but I hate that mousy looking Cabeza de pija!!

Martinez is pretty good for a 37 year old. Showed some crazy stamina yesterday to be fighting that kind of style. It's nice that the sport has a few good entertaining fights still, these days. Dawson/Ward was pretty good too last week.

Roman Martinez/Miguel Beltran Jr was a cracking fight last night.

Agreed, his speed, athleticism and sharpness is VERY impressive for a middleweight pushing 40. Martinez is underrated on here, the boy can fight.

In all honesty, right now, Martinez > Donaire.

    Nishioka/Donaire should be good.

Martinez has Junior's number. I don't think a rematch is necessary.

Donaire is way better than Martinez, but yeah, he hasn't looked great at 122.

I think Nishioka beats him. Donaire does some things very well, but I think I really overrated him, based on destroying overmatched midgets. At 122, more like his natural division, he looks pretty average.

I disagree - if they were the same natural size, I think Martinez would beat him. It's easy to look good fighting overmatched midgets. Martinez has struggled in a couple of fights, but he's been consistently fighting guys bigger than him for a while. Donaire suddenly looks average fighting guys his own size, let alone bigger.

Donaire is the most overrated P4Pder in YEARS.

Martinez is just a better fighter.

The highlight of his career will always be starching Montiel, and that BUM Darchinnyman.

Hardly the stuff legends are made of.

He benefited for years on picking on smaller guys, much the way Oscar did at 135. Only Donaire is nowhere NEAR as talented as young DLH.

P4P Martinez would put it on Donaire, and P4P Ward would wipe his ass with Donaire.

Alvarado/Rios on the same bill, so should be a good night of action

What's frustrating about Donaire is he very very rarely attacks the body and when he does it's only with 1 or 2 shots. He mainly head hunts and I wish he'd attempt to mix it up more.

Legends are made of decision wins over one-dimensional, overrated alcoholics

Martinez couldn't even wipe his ass with Kermit Cuntron, for fuck's sake

Pavlik is better than anyone Donaire has beaten.

    And Martinez knocked Shitron out.

Not only that but Pavlik was quite a bit bigger than Martinez. Donaire's 2 best wins are over midgets, and not exactly great ones either.

Maybe Donaire will surprise me against Nishioka San, but I doubt it. Donaire became overrated due to an awesome pair of precise and explosive knockouts, but ultimately I think Martinez is the better of the 2 and has beaten bigger, better guys. Against guys his own size, Donaire doesn't look anything special really.

Martinez has become overrated due to a one-in-a-million KO over an already overrated fighter, a decision over a drunk who was one-dimensional as fuck to begin with and another decision over a guy that most of you believe is not only a fraud, but retarded as well.

Vic Darchinyan was undefeated when Nonito Donaire blew him away. He's never been stopped since, even now when in serious decline. Montiel had never been stopped and hadn't lost in 5 years. Again, he hasn't been stopped since.

Getting rid of those two guys in a combined 7 rounds is more impressive to me than winning 8-4 (getting off the deck on top of it) against an alky whose claim to fame is two wins over a skittish, weak champion and getting battered one-sidedly by an old man and scoring a fluke KO against a Welterweight

Cdogg's opinions on Martinez can be taken as seriously as Mex's opinions on Tszyu.

Quick! Cdogg and Mex, P4P who wins? Martinez vs Tszyu.

all Martinez needs is one bad performance and you'll be dropping him to 15 on your P4P list

You always do this shit after a big fight

    Tszyu is better than Martinez

Umm....... Martinez is #4 on my P4P list and has been FOR AWHILE.

My top 3 has been Ward, Floyd, and Pac for awhile now.

I guess because I consider him top 5, that's overrating him to you.

You probably consider Bradley better than Martinez.
