How do you think Burns does against these four?

Burns would be competitive. Gay fighters can usually unsettle their hetero opponents. Broner would be all at sea.....he'd ask his dad to fix his hair and Fat Pops would be like " you let a fag mess your hair up" and that would be their gameplan out the window.

Burns would lose to- but badly expose-Broner. Soon as Broner is put in with a tall confident guy with solid fundamentals and a chin and a bit of intelligence, he's going to come up flat.

Not sure about the rest. Gotta give Burns the edge vs DeMarco. Linares doesn't impress me too much either.

Linares is a bum. Burns stops him for sure.

I think Burns could possibly beat all of those guys except for Broner, who simply has too much talent for him.

Even american gays are behind when it comes to boxing. Are they all doing fashion design?

Burns vs Broner in Glasgow would be amazing. As for the thread topic, I pretty much agree with X

I think Burns could beat him in Glasgow. With a broken buckfast bottle and a few of his friends.

Broner should win, but Burns would make him work for sure. As Irish said, Burns would expose him.

Burns: tall, good chin, plucky, decent jab, solid fundamentals, game character = enough to expose a HBO hype job.

Sad indictment of boxing really, No different to Barker or Macklin extending Big Mr Maravilla, really.

I never seen Burns fight......is he at least the same size as Broner? Cause Broner looks AWESOME beat up on smaller guys+Litzau.....I see that Broner is fighting DeMarco in November..that should be good.

Ohh NO...being a BOXREC scavenger I see that Burns only has 10 ko's...Ohh no that is not enough...Broner could be outbox if he fears being counter...but with 10 KO's??

Fuck was I thinking...there is a thing called the internet...and YOUTUBE....NO fucking way RICKY BURNS beat Broner...NO WAY...just from highlights but his footwork is chin, punching power is shit(i saw him land the right hand clean and hard and the opponent just kept coming like nothing), okay speed for you know...a white guy...he better have a HELL of chin and hope Broner get's tire in the late rounds.

Broner is not worth a whole of a lot really. More of a show pony than anything. Burns would put him in his place.

Broner would win, but it would go the distance and be close, and we would all be re-evaluating Broner pretty quickly.

Burns is confident, smart and tough with solid basics. More than enough to put a few kinks in a guy who is effectively a HBO hype job.

Broner is no rubbish, he's just not brilliant either.

I'd expect Broner to beat Burns by an 8-4, or 9-3 margin. Meaning that Burns has his moments, and gives Adrien some rough rounds, but for the most part is outclassed.

If Burns made it very close, then I'd question Broner's hype.

If Broner dominated Burns, and even stopped him, I'd be VERY impressed.

Burns is a quality fighter though. I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped a certain fish eyed, glass chinned, tweet champion.

Nah, Kon is too big for him...but....Burns is smart enuff to embarass the Man with The Goldfish Eyes. Kenny Bayliss, is, after all, a neurologists best friend.

Broner would eventually beat the dogshit out of Burns, he's naturally the bigger man and Burns doesn't have the right weapons to make any inroads IMO...Di Marco I would slightly favour, great fight though...Linares, hard to know what he has left, plus his chin is tissue paper....Burns is still the same guy who went life and death with rocky martinez, a hardnosed but very ordinary slugger

People continue to under estimate Burns but the guy gets better with each fight. He has more than a chance against anyone at the weight

By the same token you could say Broner is still the same guy who arguably lost to Ponce, a hardnosed but very ordinary slugger. Also at 130.

The truth is they've both improved since then. I would pick Broner, but I think it would be a competitive fight. My feeling is Broner isn't as good as he's looked in recent fights, and is somewhat of a style over substance Floyd copycat.

I think so, people said Katsidis would walk the guy down and Burns took him to school for the evening. In the Mitchell fight he was expected to win on points at best - KO in 4.

He should not fear anyone in that division.
