What did you guys think of this one? For me it was a very good movie. Solid performances from Crowe and DiCaprio. Complicated story with lots of little details. Very enjoyable.
This movie bored me to death. After watching like 45 minutes I turned off the tv. One of Ridley Scott's worst movies.
I never understood how it failed to live up to it's billing. I absolutely loved this film and I've seen it several times. There are some really great characters and some really good acting going on in here. Great film.
Your opinion doesnt count cause you didnt even finish it. Like all ridley scott films, movie starts slow and ends with a bang.
That's a good point. Plus didn't the film start with a big action chase scene and Di Caprio getting injuried? The film was a drama with lots of action sequences in it and people still complain it was boring. Maybe some people just need to stick to their genres. If you don't like dramas then don't watch them. If your idea of a good film is Transformers or Expendables then by all means stick to that kind of garbage. The dialogue, pacing, direction, performances, character development and even the score were all outstanding in this film, I can't think of one negative aspect of it. Like I said, I was pretty surprised it wound up being a flop but I attribute that to it probably being promoted poorly.
