I think it's a good fight, that's not the issue and I will watch it. I just don't like seeing cheaters rewarded is all.

Sure, as much as anyone. What does that have to do with answering the question?

that's what I belive too. I've seen the difference PED makes in the gym and I feel it's very naive to think with all the millions involved, elite athletes aren't on it in some kind of way

My point is that there's no sense in everyone getting bent out of shape about Overeem and his PED use. He got caught, he didn't get rewarded as some are saying, he got suspended for a year which means NO income for a year, that's not a reward.

He got suspended for 9 months. Suspended isn't even the right word. He was denied being able to get a license in Nevada for 9 months. Whatever you call it, it was only 9 months and was pre-dated back to the day he failed the drug test. A very soft slap on the wrist, and then he gets a title shot (lucrative fight) immediately upon his return.

'Rewarded" might not be the right word, but it's pretty damn close.

And the point is that he HAD a title shot lined up but BLEW it by cheating. He, and he alone, fucked up his shot at JDS. He just shouldn't get that same opportunity following a drug suspension. He should earn it because there are plenty of guys out there legitimately moving up the ladder that get skipped by a KNOWN cheat.

I get the whole "everyone is using" angle but it's a bullshit line of reasoning. Either quit testing or make the consequences more punitive. For me there is no middle ground.

You seem to be torn between your own morals and real life. I understand that there's no middle ground for you but that's not the way life works.

I think you are mistaken. Trp, isn't torn. he wishes people did what they said and meant what they said. that's all.

Which doesn't happen in real life often and certainly not in the UFC. Dana has been going back on things he said for many years now.

I'm not attempting to reconcile "real life" with my morals. I am simply offering my opinion.
