Walking Dead season 3...premieres this Sunday on AMC!

Yup, I saw that movie a few years ago.

 

I watched it all in one go - I downloaded it, watched it and was really diasappointed toward the end.
And then they started showing a 2nd series and a 3rd series I didn't bother.

All of these TV series get so bogged down with Damon Lindelof-esque plots which veer between absurdity and total confusion.


I'll stick with the best: George A. Romero's 1978 classic, Dawn Of The Dead

 

I thought for somebody who loves James Bond, you would be completely beyond this? :scratcher:

 

Lindelhoff's plots are totally nonsensical and requires endless Internet Forum debates on what the hell is going on.

Bond plots are nowhere near as bad as that twat's! :fightme:

 

What did you especially hate about Walking Dead? Some examples on the plot which you found absurd?

 

Around about mid-way through series 1...after that guy got free from on top of the building in Atlanta....I dunno...I just drifred off.

Maybe I should just try again.
My attention-span isn't really designed for TV series.
I got bored of 'The Wire'... got bored of '24'...bored of 'True Blood'...didnt even bother with 'Dexter'...etc, etc

I start off really interested then my mind starts thinking about other stuff. ::

 

I'm the exact same way. I got bored of every single show I ever watched in my 46 years. Totally got bored of 24, Lost, Rome, etc.
Walking Dead is the only show I ever watch now. And there aren't even that many episodes actually.
6 episodes in season 1 and only 13 episodes in season 2.
Most series have 22-24 episodes per season like '24' and 'Lost'

 

Yeah, must be. It's about as straight forward a plot as you can get. Not exacty "Lost-esque" as you've alluded to with the Lindelhoff reference.

You might just not have the mind-set for it. Can't blame you, probably have other stuff to do. Every once in awhile I have fantasy's about un-plugging the TV and cancelling our cable, and actually doing something with the family instead..............but then something like "Justified" or "Dexter" comes on, I remember I need my boxing fix, and I chicken out.

 

BTW as long as we're talking about an AMC show. Anybody watch the last season of "Hell On Wheels"?

I thought it jumped up in quality about 1000% in the 2nd season, with a fantastic ending to the season last week. "The Swede" is a crazy bad-ass.

 

I've not given that show a chance yet. I always figure why bother following a show when they just get cancelled abruptly? Did you at all check out those short lived shows Alcatraz and Pan-Am?

Next week's episode of Walking Dead is gonna be pretty shocking if the reports are true.

 

That was one seriously f*cked up episode tonight!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't see that coming at all!!!

 

It was pretty brutal.

 

It almost seems like the series is going to last for around 4 seasons at best with the way it's going. ::
