That hook was uber flush. The head spinning KO's are classic.

He's talented, but for Christ sake it's time to fuckin step up the comp! This is absurd.

He's capable of beating Mikey Garcia right now.

Agreed, hard to determine if he's any good or not fighting utter scrubs.

Plus having fights like this on TV just takes the piss, waste of a good TV spot.

Perfect, brutal shot... Set it up perfectly with the left to the body to bring the guard down. The comp may be shite, but that is a picture-perfect knockout

Yep. I like the kid. We'll have to wait to see how he looks against top competition but you can see he's very technical sound and he might be the fastest current boxer as well.

Definitely... That was a textbook tactic right there... no leaping shots, no pot-shotting affleticizm, just a perfectly timed, perfectly thrown hook right in the pocket

I hope he's the real deal

He's looked the business so far. Shame about what happened with the Olympics for him. It will be interesting to see what happens when he moves up a level.

The BEST Thing about the KO was Russell's DEMEANOR Immediately After the Fact....He was SUBDUED & Relatively UNaffected by the Excitement of the Moment....Like a Hired KILLER Would Be...'Nother Day @ the Office...

By Most Accounts, Russell's a MEAN Litltle Dude that LIKES Putting Hurt on Opponents...

It's a good point, but how about an argument on the flipside - maybe the KO should have thrilled him more? Aren't the most violent fighters in boxing history a bit MORE thrilled by the brutality they administer? Maybe he was a bit like "Oh right, a KO, pretty koo I guess" :dunno:

George Foreman WASN'T Demonstrative, Neither was Sonny Liston...

Russell's a LITTLE Guy, but he's Always Leaned More Towards the SERIOUS Side of Things...The LAST Adjective U'd Use to Describe Gary Russell, Jr. is "Fun Loving"...He Rocks a BUSINESS Approach & Treated a SPECTACULAR KO in the Same Fashion...

The Finish was CLINICAL, as if Russell had Planned All Along to Land THAT Punch @ THAT Moment...Russell Reacted like a Fighter that EXPECTED to Get a KO...

    I prefer the cool demeanor

Bob Foster did a sort of of shrug like "that's what I do" after he nearly decapitated Mike Quarry... I like seeing that in a fighter, professional

Could it be that out of respect for the opponent who was in a comatose state afterwards he showed little thrill. Often fighters get critizised when they celebrate despite their opponent looking dead on the floor. Maybe he tried to show sportsmanship... :dunno:
