Is it true what they say? Jolly on the outside, suicidal on the inside ?

You're not fat Buddy. You look like one of those stocky bastards with an abundance of core strenght.

I train like a powerlifter. It's not surprising that I'm built like one. I still like MWS' description of me: "tipsy Polish farmer". LOL. I've been doing fun stuff recently like 70-80lb dumbbells for bent over laterals. 250lb bent over rows with an EZ curl bar for sets of 6. Standing push presses with 260lbs for sets of 6. Upright rows with 150lbs. Sets of 6 in the deadlift with 365.

I consider those weights pretty good, but many times it's a case of me trying to play catchup with an old friend of mine from Kingston. He's a year younger than me, but he has freakish strength and a reckless but very tough attitude. He tore his tricep 3 years ago doing standing tricep extensions with an EZ-curl bar with 225lbs for reps. THAT'S INSANE! He had to have his tricep reattached because the tendon tore off the cartilage. He had to do rehab for a year and the doctor said he would never be able to lift heavy weights again. WRONG!

He was a high school football star and he would have gone places if he had taken it seriously back then. He's 5ft10 and weighs about 235-240lbs now. I hate to see it, but I know I'll never catch him---it's fun to try though.

I have pretty good core strength. You chuck wood and lift logs for a few years, and your core strength greatly improves. I never used one of those weight sleds that powerlifters use, but enough outdoor work will up your core strength for sure.

I feel fat but my waistline says otherwise.
