The misses are becoming zworthy at this point. He looked decent for the first few rounds, now he looks awful.
Round 8... If Senchenko's NOT Content w/Going the Distance, he Can Make this a VERY Interesting Finish.... Hatton SLOPPILY Pursuing Senchenko..Senchenko Landing Rights as Hatton Rushes In...Grazing Left Hook from Senchenko, as Hatton Leaps In...WILD Swing & Miss from Hatton...The Fight is EVENING OUT for Certain...Senchenko Doing a Good job of Keeping Hatton OUTSIDE Now...Nother HORRID Miss from Hatton... Nother TOUGH Ass Round to Score...
Round 9... Anybody's Fight @ this Point... Hatton BALLSY as Ever...If Senchenko Fought w/ANY Fucking URGENCY, he just Might Drop Hatton...Ricky Very Unsteady Here, Like a Man Looking for the Finish Line...Not Hurt or Anything, but Systematically Coming UNGLUED....Fighters Trip Over 1 Another...Hatton Gets a Respite... This is Round 10 vs Floyd, Round 2 vs Pac All Over Again, Meaning Hatton Looks to Be Somewhat COMPROMISED... SHIT!!!...Left Hook to Body from Senchenko ENDS IT...The Crowd CHEERS for Ricky @ the Count of 6 or 7, Hatton CONSIDERS Beating the Count, but Takes the Full 10...WOW....
Could kind of see that coming too, since about Round 5 or so. Was this a welterweight fight? Senchenko looks 2 divisions bigger.
Crowd Trying to LIFT Hatton's Spirits by Seranading him...Hatton's in Tears, Wife is Visibly Disturbed... Sad, SAD Shit to Watch... REED:Wah:
Horrible, predictable and will make Hatton's depression all the worse. He looked horrendous prior to that body shot. Dreadful stuff at this point. Very sad to see. MTF
Too bad. In the long run, this is better for Hatton. Didn't have to take a real beating against a top opponent. Ricky had a solid career. He was never elite, but he had a nice little run.
Hatton was the best guy in his division for about five years. Prime Hatton would have wiped his ass with everything at 140 right now. MTF
probably wouldve been better if he went straight into a fight against a top opponent for an 8 figure PPV payday. worse ass whipping or maybe just quicker one. he looks like a fucking alien right now. losing 4 and a half stone :notallthere:
Hatton was definitely an elite fighter, an entry level elite fighter. A step above the likes of Tszyu for sure, and everyone else he fought apart from Pacquiao and Floyd :kidcool:
Absolutely... Hatton's Fine NOW & Will Say & Do All the Right Things in the Immediate Aftermath, but the TRUE Test is What Happens when he's ALONE; just Him & his Thoughts... Hatton Doesn't Address the Crowd, but Says he's Heartbroken to the Interviewer...Face Banged Up Pretty Badly...Massive Swelling Under & Over Right Eye & a Good Bit Along the Left... "I Can't Keep Picking Me Ass Up Off the Floor" - Ricky Hatton Hopefully that Leads to Hatton Retiring...It's Time for him to Do OTHER Things...Train, Promote, Commentate, Whatever...Dude's Heartbroken & Tearful in his Interview, yet Answered EVERY SINGLE Question Dude had for Him... TOUGH Shit to Watch... REED:Wah:
It's weird though, he was always seen as the wholesome working class hero, boy next door type. I think this line of thinking is a little extreme, but yeah, he obviously has problems.
I mean, Hatton's one of those guy you want the good ending for....but what happened from 2009 up to 6-8 months ago...that's a serious problem. It's not boredom...it's mental-issues. I HOPE he's not dead inside 3 years...but you know, sportsmen retiring is a tough-gig it seems these days and a lot go through 'depression' or whatever you want to call it...I hope he puts 100% into his promotional career.
Because of styles, Matthyse would be a dangerous fight for even a prime Hatton. And if Broner keeps this up to 140, then he'd be a guy that not even a prime Hatton beats. Prime Hatton beats Garcia, and Rios, but neither fight would be a blowout. However, prime Hatton destroys the glass parki.
He's in the same situation he was three years ago. In that time he's succumbed to depression, blown shitloads of money on coke, tried promoting without much success, done TV work etc and none of it worked for him. It's unlikely to work after that. Whoever saw Hatton in the gym prior to that fight and didn't think to advise Ricky that this mightn't be a brilliant idea should take a look at themselves. Hatton needed saving from himself here. As a Hatton fan over many years I warned against this from the start and I am sad to have been shown to be right. He had no business being back in the ring on the evidence of what we saw there. MTF
On a WORLD CLASS Level, REED Agrees... Hatton's Technique WORSENED as the Bout Progressed & he was SLOWER & More WINDED than REED's Ever Seen him Look, but Ricky DID Look Pretty Decent for the 1st 4-5 Rounds, Bro....Hindsight's 20-20, but had Hatton Been LESS Ambitious in his Matchmaking & Taken a SAFER Comback Opponent, he'd have Probably Gotten an Early Doors KO Tonight, Mate... But Having Said That, Ricky Would've Only FOOLED Himself Into Extending the Comeback & What we Saw Tonight would've Eventually Transpired @ Some Point... Try to Keep your Head Up, Mr. Feebles...
