im not saying i want to see it. but im expecting it to happen next year. i think broner could whip guerrero at 147 with a legitimate referee

Berto should never fight another southpaw again. Nor should he ever fight a guy who can punch.

Guerrero stronger and sturdier at 147 than I expected. Hate to say it because I've said it before and been wrong but Guerrero's style, the way he was able to negate Berto's speed, his hyper-activity and ability to absorb counters....doesn't that suit him well to face Mayweather?

As soon as I saw Berto coming out trying to shoulder roll I had a bad feeling for him.

As I said, he's just not as talented as Broner to emulate Floyd's style.

Berto was holding Guerrero's arm when he was knocked down. HBO team has it wrong.

It would suit him well............. if Floyd wasn't a full light year better than Berto.

i dont think berto trying to use his shoulder made a difference. he got hurt early and was unable to keep guerrero off him to create room to punch. nor was he able to hurt guerrero.

yea, dont care to see guerrero fight floyd, but i'm sure that's what we'll get next. floyd would pick him apart. might take him more than 8 rounds tho.

True. But Berto hits harder, is stronger, and possibly faster. But obviously, PBF is a whole other thing than Berto.

But let's face it ... This fight wasn't even close. Guerrero showed he's a real crafty fighter tonight.

If Guerrero's goal is a match with PBF, he helped his cause tremendously tonight.

Berto has more RAW power and handspeed than Floyd, but the fact that Floyd is 100x more accurate than Berto negates that.

And as Neil said, Berto is NOT physically stronger.

    I'd rather see Bradley-Guerrero than Floyd-Guerrero.

    Too bad it can't happen.

HBO was strangely bending over backwards to give Berto credit and seemed to not be paying attention except when Berto finally landed a punch here or there.

    This!

Max goes on some strange fucking rants sometimes. Berto had Guerrero's arm pinned to the side of his head.

Berto was wading in and throwing his arms around Guerrero the whole fight............Guerrero did what he was supposed to do to defend the tactic..........keep throwing punches where he can, when he can.

I think this is why Merchant and Kellerman can't ever work the same fights. Merchant would tell Max to just shut the fuck up.

No, he's not. He's not even stronger then Guerrero, who had Berto's back to the ropes the entire fight.

Worth pointing out that even Berto's corner was telling him to stop holding.

    I really enjoyed the fight.

Told you suckers.... :) Guerrero is far superior to Berto. The only concern was the weight.

Any links for the full fight?

guerrero's a wily dude. what he does is a hybrid of hopkins/hatton's hit and hold tactics. he's also very tough and has a solid beard. i see him giving floyd a rough fight, but he'll still get busted up and probably lose a wide decision if not get KOed.

guerrero is not a good opponent for mayweather jr. he'll get beatdown in one sided fashion. his wifes story may win him some hearts on 24-7 though and add to ppv sales

I feel bad for not picking Rob now. Berto just fucking sucks, I mean he lost to Ortiz, that should have been a big enough clue.

I've always thought Rob is good and underrated, I just couldn't shake the Aydin fight, he just looked like a blown up lightweight that was out of his depth at welter.

Same. I had that gut feeling all day. I knew Rob was better, but he just looked awful in that first fight at welter.

But not only was Berto shit...he was inactive, rusty shit.

The dude Guerrero fought last was WAY tougher than Berto. He wasn't very good, but the guy was strong as hell and tough.

Nice pick. Were you a little surprised that Guerrero treated Berto like a limp-wristed faggot, pushing him around at will?
