He cherishes too much his undefeated status and if the same Cotto that was dominated more clearly by Trout gave him problems, imagine what Pacquiao could do? Right now I couldn't care less about these two guys. By the time they fight it will be like Camacho-Mancini or Roy Jones vs Hopkins II: when no one gave a shit about it.
