Just like with Sergio, Floyd won't fight Canelo for the simple fact he's much bigger then him.

Canelo also has a style that is very similar to Castillo, who gave Floyd fits.

Speculate all you want, it's meaningless.

Canelo's style is nothing like Castillo's.

Canelo's feet are not fast enough to deal with Mayweather....

Canelo has pretty impressive handspeed, but his feet are slow.

In that way he's SORTA like Tito, only he's not a fraction as good/talented as Tito was.

I heard that Mayweather will fight Guerrero on May and Canelo on 15 of Septiembre.

It makes sense since all are with Golden Boy. It would be good if Canelo fights Cotto on the meantime.

If he beats Cotto, the Mayweather fight would be huge.

I think more people would be up for Mayweather-Canelo and would do better numbers if Alvarez beats Cotto first

IF he do...it's not because he is BETTER than COTTO....more like Cotto is past his best and has been talking/thinking retirement for a few years now....

We'll see when canelo fights somebody good. Tito was dropping rounds left and right to numskies long before Oscar 'exposed' him. He just wasn't all that good.

Tito is overrated as hell, yes, but you can't compare Canelo to him. The Vargas who Tito stopped DESTROYS Canelo.

Canelo would have gotten stopped by De La Hoya.

Vargas would have beaten the crap out of him too and sent him to the ER.

Loadedgloves! :bears: Havent seen you for a while.

Anyway, I'll be proven wrong on this, take it to the bank, but i've just had an inkling for a while that alvarez is better than he looks. Yes he isnt fighting top level guys and he looks so ordinary but when such a long string of guys cant do shit with you - I mean cant take a single round or get a thing done except try to survive - you're doing something very right.

Tito was dropping rounds left and right to this level opponent because he was a shit fighter with a great punch.

Canelo is crap. Cotto's jab will be the difference in that fight.

People are under selling Cotto.....yeah he is past his best days....and he has been hinting toward retirement for a few years now(heart is not into it)...but he still has the skills to school Canelo. And Canelo won't have a huge size advantage and the negative style that Trout had....

I'm right there with you on Canelo, He's better than most think. After he whoops Cotto, people will realize.

He'd have to dominate him in impressive fashion to really a prove a point imo. Cotto might have the retirement mindset and just show up for the payday. That's not to say he's shown that's the case yet but seems to happen to ever fighter at some point.

Well it's a better style matchup but he has a bigger chance of getting KO'd against Canelo than Fishy.
