I'll recap later, boys. I'm gonna watch the bouts and focus on them fully instead of typing. And the winner by unanimous decision...Rafael Assuncao.
DAMN, Yves Edwards vs Jeremy Stephens. Stephen throws every punch like it's a surefire homerun, and WHAM he gets countered with a SWEEET right hook counter from the southpaw Edwards. Edwards uses a couple of followup elbows to completely FUCK UP Stephens. As REED would say, "VIVA BLACK MAN!!!" Edwards is Canadian. We knock out fools like that. Right on the fucking button.:bears:
Mike Swick is back. He's fighting Matt Brown, who is a tough tough guy, but he gets caught in submissions. First bout: Swick vs Bown. This will be all action.
Sure is. Welterweight is not a great idea for a young Penn never mind this version, still I was hoping he could pull something out this evening.
Rua had a hell of a run in 2005, beating Rampage, Overeem, Little Nog, and Ricardo Arona to win the 205lb Grand Prix.
Gustafsson has looked like one of the top light heavyweights in his recent fights. I think he'd beat anyone in the division now except Jones and maybe Machida.
He is a big guy but I wonder if he could cut down to middle... obviously not at this stage in his career but a prime Rua. That would have been something..
I was impressed. He manhandled Rua not as well as Jones but almost.. Jones V The Swede will be interesting..
You could see his head was gone half way through R1. Henderson is pretty good this evening but I still dislike the guy
I don't know shit about MMA....but Round 3 of this fight was exciting....alot of man on man scissoring but still...no homo.
