Bendo is better than I give him credit for, and Diaz worse. I can't believe how easily Diaz is outwrestled.

With the first leg kick, I knew Diaz was gonna ignore them and get picked apart.

Yeah, he sure is an annoying little chode.

He's also not THAT good, I thought little Frankie was straight robbed in both fights. It's obviously more of a case of us overrating Diaz.

In retrospect it should have been more obvious, given the MacDonald fight. But I guess Rory is a lot bigger than Bendo.

I wasn't surprised he beat Diaz but I thought the fight would be competitive.

Agreed on Edgar IMO he clearly won the first fight.

I can't believe how much he fell apart after the first couple of leg kicks. He and his brother are becoming known for losing the big ones.

Well nick lost his last fight, but before that was consistently winning the big ones. He was champ

Not in the UFC. Fighting guys like Frank Shamrock and Scott Smith, he should be winning. Strikeforce has nowhere near the depth that the UFC has in any division.

Agreed, not sure you can call any of his Strikeforce fights "big ones".

That's all fine, but he whupped BJ Penn's ass.

He also whupped Gomi's ass and Whupped Daley like a Boss

Neither Nick or Nate will ever be UFC Champions unless they improve their takedown defense.

That because i am not a fan of their BJJ. Never have been.

No fighter making weight can take a dump, at least not a dump that weighs anymore than a half an ounce.

Heavyweight grand prix seemed pretty similar

Gomi is 79 years old, and Daley was no worldbeater in MMA.

The first decision was a gift. The second decision was an outright crime.

The Gomi fight was 5 years ago.
And Daley was on a nice little run. That being said, he beat BJ penn.

A nice little run in Strikeforce. Now I do admit that the Gomi no-decision was nice, but Penn's near the end of the road.

Thanks for the factoid, but I was kind of making a joke. But for the record, how many post-weight cut bowel movements have you measured?

It's a bit unfair to minimize Nick's win in Strikeforce and Pride with the benefit of hindsight. I think Zaromskis came over as the Dream Welterweight Champion having just won the Grand Prix and was considered a threat. You can't blame Diaz for absolutely destroying him and exposing him as a joke. And a guy like Daley was also considered dangerous by anyone's definition. This was a guy that Josh Koscheck was scared shitless to box with. Diaz stood toe-to-toe and knocked him out for the first time in Daley's career.

The same thing is true with BJ Penn. Sure it is clear now that Penn is past his best, but Penn walked into the Diaz fight off of a draw with the second best fighter in the division in Jon Fitch and only 1 fight removed from knocking Matt Hughes out cold. The way that Diaz walked through Penn seems meaningless after watching MacDonald do the same thing last night, but it was damn impressive WHEN it originally happened.

At the end of the day, Diaz destroyed his competition in Strikeforce and is 1-1 in his return to the UFC with the loss coming to the 2nd or 3rd best guy in the division. Not too shabby.
