Mayweather lose 4-5 rounds in that fight...didn't get BRUALLY KO'ed...or drop...SKILLS pays the bills..
True, he hasn't fought one gimme. But yeah, I can't deny I would be excited for yet another one. Surely the 5th fight would be more of a chess match again, with Manny being far more cautious?
Pacquiao didn't lunge in as much. Combine that with the head movement and Marquez had less countering opportunities. He went overboard in trying to finish a hurt Marquez and walked right into a bomb. I'm not sure i'd regard it as "wreckless" given JMM was bloodied and not noted as a big puncher, but obviously in hindsight Pacquiao didn't have to take that approach. He was winning the fight and in better shape at the time of the knockout.
Pac knows what he did wrong. He outlined it in the interview. More aggression, but not reckless. But this is all pending that his chin hasnt been cracked. He needs a tuneup to see if his heart is still in this game.
Manny can't even spell cautious. If he does fight Marquez again i think he should take an interim fight.
Is it time to put JMM in MM's with legit WW's? Like how would he fare against Simon Brown, Marlon Starling, Vernon Forrest, and Felix Trinidad
I wonder if they fight a 5th time if Manny is gonna request blood and urine test all the way up to the fight. I'll Holla 5000
Well he proved he could hurt Pac in previous fights even though he never knocked him down. The shot he did drop him with was great but Manny still recovered pretty well. I think his mindset was that he wouldn't get hit that cleanly again.
Pacquiao own doses are not working..he seem to have grown a tolerance to them....Marquez is fresh to them...
I have no doubt Marquez was juiced. He has never looked this strong against Pacquiao, a fighter who took everything from heavy handed boxers like Cotto & Margarito and wasn't even hurt once. This was a different Marquez with a very muscular body.
Well maybe it's semantics but i think it's a hindsight thing. If Manny would have stopped Marquez on the ropes i doubt most people would have been saying he took a big gamble. It appeared he took the best Marquez had to offer, turned it around and had his opponent bloodied up. He was also winning the round big. Shit happens.
When the accusations vs. Pacquiao started he never look that big...he was fast and had learn a few tricks...but didn't bulk up like Marquez did....Marquez didn't go all body builder rip and stupid like Feroz but he is surely JUICING...
Same trainer as the previous fight V Pac. Anyway, Im disappointed to see Pac get beat like that. However you cannot deny Marquez a victory, both guys supplied some fantastic entertainment throughout the fights. The more Manny dominates Marquez through aggression the greater chance Marquez has of knocking him out.
I dont know man. He has fought this guy 3 times prior and never "stopped" him on the ropes. Marquez has done damage to Pac previously with a bloody nose. Marquez fucked Pac up after being dropped 3 times in one round. I think if Pac thought he was going to stop him there, it was reckless. I think even he acknowledges that.
where he was also clearly juiced, considering he looked like he had switched bodies from the one he had previously had when he tried to fight over 140 pounds
Unlike Pac his body appears to have changed is a short space of time. After finally getting the win I dont want to hear about failed drug tests. JMM deserves a W against the Pacman
If no fifth fight, who the hell does Marquez fight next? Bradley? Guerrero? Malignaggi? Canelo!??!?!?
