Thanks for getting the thread back to boxing, Hanz. I disagree with Lennox, the commission testing is apparently pretty bogus.

 

Well Lennox did seem unusually muscled in some fights, especially the first Holyfield fight. So who knows what's going on really in the sport?

 

While it just continues a disappointing trend, I find the Marquez-PED talk funny. It's clear that he made physical gains that are just unnatural over a short period of time at his advantaged age. But it was the same thing we were saying about Manny as he carried significant power as he moved up in weight. That talk has quieted recently as he didn't show much pop against Clottey, Cheatarigo, Shane and Bradley, but it doesn't change the fact that it was almost an assumed fact about Manny a few years back.

So at the very worst, last night's fight was a case of one roided up guy knocking out another. It sucks but it's kind of cool that Manny was on the other end of the talk (and brutal KO) for a change.

I was surprised that Marquez came around Pacquaio's left with that right hand for the initial knockdown. I was not expecting that. He looked totally different from when he fought Mayweather.:dunno:
