Don't let REETard fool you. He only likes the jew because he sucks black dick. I think if a black fighter pulled out his dick in the post fight interview Kellerman without saying a word would literally go down on his knees and start sucking it whilst still holding the microphone so the black guy could ramble on... Kellerman is not an objective journalist. Like people here said he is nothing but a fucking groupie. He acts like he just ran into his favorite fighter and wants to show him how much he likes him instead of doing his damn job. I have no idea how he got the job in the first place. He is fucking horrible. Actually I have an idea. I bet you that he used his jew connections to get it.
That's a pretty cunty way to say that. I think I'll re-examine my thoughts on the matter now. Aren't you from the Poconos, you Henny Youngman wannabe?
Didn't this already happen, like a couple of years ago ?? Anyways, he'll be missed if it really is his last. Hopefully they can bring him back for 1 more mega-fight. He's got his biases like anyone, but he is a very keen observer and not afraid to speak his mind, which he does vastly more eloquently than any of his peers.
Kellerman....oh what a fucking shart that lad is. Larry was a moaner but he knew the business and knew that todays game wasn't up to scratch. I am not necessarily upset that he is going, but when you factor in that Kellersham is replacing him......then...well....:shit:
There were times Larry was fun to listen to and then there were times, more of them recently, where I literally had to turn down the volume on the TV. I think it's probably that way with anyone behind a mic for 30 years with the ability and leeway to offer their opinion as opposed to just reporting the facts. At the end of the day I am sentimental about change, and it's sad to see Larry go. Much like Manny passing away, it just a guy that's been associated with, and a memory of, many of the sport's biggest fights over the last 35 years.
Pretty much, on both counts. The first is forgivable, we like those who like what we like. The second count....quite accurate also, but not forgivable. Max is the lowest slime.
kellerman is awful, he used to be good during the early day of FNF but he's simply putrid on HBO. Merchant was hit and miss but as the years passed on, he was getting far too direspectfull to the fighters ( an no, I'm not talking about Floyd), one of the reason why him and Georges weren't too chummy
Merchant sucked, but he had his moments. Good riddance. Kellerman doesn't suck, but he has his flaws. I liked Showtime's Mauro, Paulie, and Bernstein combination this past weekend. Paulie is very good at analyzing different fighters from an expert's perspective and not from the perspective of the type of fighter he is. Mauro and Bernstein are both quality.
I actually felt the exact opposite about Paulie (who I've enjoyed) during the Santa Cruz/Guevara fight on CBS. Thought he gave Guvara way too much credit.
it's weird that guys like Kellerman have a job :scratcher: there is zero demand for him from the customer does HBO want less viewers or something it's like they're saying "well our audience hates this guy, but fuck them, lets keep him around anyway"
Like REED Said, U Hear what U WANT to Hear... Have U NEVER Seen a "Face Off" Segment that Kellerman Conducted...Some of THE Most INTENSE Pre-Fight Exchanges were "Face Off" Segments Conducted by Kellerman...Chock FULL of Tough Questions... Hell, just Off the Top of REED's Head, Kellerman Said to Tim Bradley "It Seemed to Me that You Guys Thought You LOST the Fight", during the Pac-Bradley Post Fight Interview...Or How Bout the Way he All But GRILLED Floyd for Failing to Make Weight & Sacrificing $600,000 vs. Marquez???...Kellerman Actually INSTIGATED the Infamous Floyd-Shane Post-fight Brouhaha... Buy YOU'VE Only Seen him as a Groupie who NEVER Asks a Tough Question???...Yeah, Ok... REED:wack:
Everybody's Entitled to their Opinion & REED Gets Why Kellerman BOTHERS Some, but to Act as if he's STRICTLY a Groupie that Never EVER Asks a Tough Question, is Ridiculous...Again, he's just NOT a Prick about it, the Way Merchant is/was... REED:mj:
So when was prime Merchant? He was ignorant shit in the 90's, he was a prick in the 00's. So the 80s? As to Malignaggi, I didn't watch the santa cruz fight, yet. I was referring to his commentary during the showtime card. I think it was during the angulo fight where he was able to provide some interesting insight. I haven't been 100% on the guy so doesn't surprise me that he was different on the santa cruz fight. Mauro Rinallo, who has always been decent on mma, plays the role equally well at boxing afaict.
When you think about some of the mainstays in boxing commentary like Cosell, Merchant....it's not likability that's made them great. It's their passion, their ability to find drama. My guess is that's what HBO sees in Kellerman.
