    It looks like the kidnappers will be portrayed in a positive, humorous light in the movie, when in reality they were low level scumbags.

    The movie is a comedy/drama. You can see from the trailer they won't be portrayed as really bad guys (which is really disappointing after reading that article).

    Exactly.

    We will get what we see in the trailer: lots of flashy camera moves, slowmo explosions, great shots of girls in bikini, gorgeous cinematography of action scenes and the plot and acting will be relegated to an after thought. But to be fair it's the first Michael Bay film in years that I have a mild interest in watching.

    So first it was a comedy/drama not its a comedy action film.

    I will tell you what it will be. An action movie with some funny lines in it once in a while. Similar to Bad Boys and The Rock.

    Im just going off what Ive read, and in almost every preview its described as a comedy in some way. Whether that be dark comedy, comedy/action. But thanks for your prediction though.

    Hard to see how their characters will be portrayed in a shitty way in a comedy.

    You seen Fargo? That was a dark comedy and the characters were portrayed in a shitty way.
    Check our Freeway. Check out Very Bad things. I can list hundreds of comedies where people are portrayed shitty.

    Michael Bay keeps being compared to Steven Spielberg which I find ridiculous. The only similarities is that like Spielberg he started young having a successful box office trend. He does has a gift to lure audiences to his shitty movies. I did like The Rock mainly because it had Sean Connery playing this old action hero and nicolas Cage wasn't that annoying, plus ed Harris played one of the coolest villains at that time. Besides that film, I didn't cared much for anything else he has done. And I hate his overused walking-in-slow-mo-with-an-explosion-behind which I can see he ues it AGAIN in Pain & Gain.:doh:
