Not sure I'll watch this even though I saw the last one. I'm not a big fan of the series at all. I am however waiting like crazy for that new Riddick flick to drop.
So you arent a fan of the Fast and Furious movies, but after seeing Chronicles of Riddick, you are "waiting like crazy" to see the next installment? WOW
Personal tastes my friend, personal tastes. I enjoyed CoR and have actually rewatched it even more than Pitch Black. Plus I'm not a big fan of car chase type films while on the flip side I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi, as well as the Riddick character himself. I was always disappointed when they opted to cancel any follow up Riddick films after the failure of Chronicles. It was actually the huge success of the last Fast and Furious film and some prodding from Diesel that caused them to change their mind on the Riddick franchise. Of course to protect themselves Diesel had to agree to work for scale and the word is they're going to be scaling Riddick back to being closer to the guy from Pitch Black as opposed to the unstoppable super killer in Chronicles. No offense to the F&F fans, but it's just not my cup of tea. The last one was pretty good, up until the end where they were driving around and had the movie feeling like a high priced B flick.
waste of time making another Riddick. it wasnt vin that people want to see, it's the Rock. In fact in this new one. Vin looks old and flabby. He actually looks like shit.
I liked the "American Dad" episode that proposed the theory that all the "Fast and Furious" movies are originally shot as hardcore gay porn, and then edited down to just the action sequences for the American release of the films.
I'm with you here. I have never been a fan of the F&F franchise. In fact I hated the first film, was forced to watch the second one which sucked even more and never bothered with the rest. Watched like 30 minutes of Fast Five and it was mainly to see how the Rock mixed in there. From this trailer I can see that they are rehashing elements from all the previous films, like a greatest hits. I'll pass this one. Not a big Riddick fan,but the character has potential. I loved 'Pitch Black' but was somewhat disappointed by COR. Still I'll look forward to see what they do with the character in another film as long as he is closer to the psychopath from Pitch Black than the superhero from COR.
"American Dad" is better then "Family Guy" IMO, and I think MacFarlane has a lot less to do with the writing process.
I think I have you beat in the not being a fan of the F&F franchise because I didn't even watch the trailer Anthony posted here.
