Who is Devon Alexander? does he possess any skill at all that could represent a real challenge to Floyd Mayweather or is he truly as bad as some of you has mentioned here??

alexander is more skilled and bigger than guerrero. i dont see him giving mayweather jr a lot of trouble but he presents more problems than guerrero. mayweather jr will take the easier and more marketable fight against guerrero

Let's just say he's not a young hungry lion... though there's a chance LOK might disagree.

I agree, imo, it's pretty obvious Guerrero is still the front runner. Just that by naming a less appealing opponent in Alexander, he suddenly makes the Guerrero fight, wich pretty much everyone was complaining about, compelling in the eyes of many. Add to that the benefit of holding better cards for negotiation with Guerrero.

Still, I don't get why most found Alexander a lesser matchup compare to Guerrero. Both are pretty much at same level imo, with maybe a slight edge to Alexander in fact.

I think Devon Alexander has more marketability value for HBO than Guerrero.

What? Alexander is fuck all. Guerrero doesn't stand a chance, but he'll make Floyd fight at least, and be competitive most of the way through. Alexander will just scrub up like he did against Bradley, and let Floyd dominate him.

As expected, the IBF doesn't approve of Alexander fighting Floyd and the Brook fight is back on. According to fightnews anyway.

    Floyd should just fight Manny.

Yup. It's not funny at all. Somebody should ask Jeremy Wong to come back....I miss that guy and his tales of ping pong and driving accidents.

is it a requirement to be an expert to post here? if so it should be specified in rules.
But to not offend anyone, I'll refrain from posting here if that is what is desired by the administrators.

    Thank you

    But think whatever you want.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around this. Why would someone keep trolling, when we know it's an alias, it's not funny or amusing really at all. Aren't trolls at least supposed to be good for a laugh? Even Hanzy makes me laugh now and then.

Same here, vaguely. For once I'll actually root for Le Ginge. I find Trout's style hideous and negative.

Agreed. I'm interested in seeing the winner take on Floyd as well, both are bigger than him & Floyd is aging now.

Trout would be problematic for Floyd imo. He's BIG at 154, fairly strong, can box a bit etc.

Ginger, doubt it, I think Floyd would pretty much dominate him.
