Surprised NO ONE has mentioned this fight yet. This is one of the best fights FNF has had in AWHILE. And it's the first FNF in awhile that actually MEANS something. Who wins?

I think Peterson has to be favored, but, Holt is a big puncher, and Peter is coming off over a 1 yr layoff, and his chin isn't exactly great. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if Holt wins. Or at least, scores a KD.

The safest bet is Peterson via decision.

Either way. I'm looking forward to this one.

yeah. this should be good. i hope Peterson wins and my prediction is that he will but he'll probably have a shaky moment or two. but as the fight wears on, i expect him to wear Holt down and come away with a fairly convincing decision win.

Both are average at world level, but I think Peterdewd is the overall better fighter. I'd be surprised if Holt wins.

I'm not surprised no one is talking about it. Who really cares who wins? Why does it mean anything? Neither guy is going to dominate 140, and neither guy is exciting to watch.

I like to watch a lot of boxing, not just mega fights, and maybe I'm being a bit harsh - but this fight isn't very interesting to me.

It's for the IBF strap, so 12.

this might be one of those fights that looks good on paper but ends up boring. it looks good because it seems like it will be competitive and neither guy is vastly superior to the other. but holt can be boring if he's not getting his way, and peterson can be a little repetitive in his approach and his lack of punching power can take away from the excitement.

Peterson is a good fighter. He's flawed, but to call him "average" is under selling him.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure he would lose to the likes of Matthyse, Garcia, Rios, and Broner.

REED'll Stop Short of Predicting Holt (for Now), but this is a GOOD Matchup for him...

Peterson ISN'T Hard to Find, ISN'T All that Athletic & DOESN'T Punch Hard...Peterson Throws Alot, So Holt WILL Have Opportunities to Land & 1 Thing Kendall Holt CAN Do is PUNCH...If Bradley & Khan can Hurt & DROP Peterson, Holt Can STOP him...

Holt Can AFFORD to Be More Aggressive than Normal, Due to Peterson's LACK of Pop, but Will He Be???...

Like X Said, the SAFE Pick is Peterson, but REED Thinks Holt is HUNGRY Enough to Possibly Pull it Off...

Exactly, he'd lose to those 4 fighters, and so would Holt. Neither one of these guys are scrubs, but why do you consider the fight meaningful?

And by average, don't forget I said at world level.

True, but they ARE World Class Fighters & it's Pretty Much a 50-50 Fight...It's NOT Often that World Class Guys Meet in a 50-50 Bout, on ESPN, No Less....

This is 1 of the Better FNF Fights EVER...The Matchup ITSELF, that Is...We'll See if the Finished Product Holds Up...

Compared to most FNF main events it's meaningful. Not in general.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Broner move up and take the IBF title from Peterson after this fight.

That would be a good first fight for Broner to take at 140.

REED's Predicting a Controversial Decision win for Peterson, ala the Khan Fight...

Holt DROPS Peterson 1nce or 2wice, Hurts him Several Other Times, but LOSES a Shitty Decision to the Hometown, DC bred Peterson...

Teddy Atlas will Be FURIOUS when this 1's Over...

I'll take Holt by KO. I thing Peterson is better overall, but like REED said he's not hard to hit and Holt can crack. For what ever reason I am just picturing this fight ending in a brutal KO.

Fair enough. I'm probably judging it too harshly as I'm just judging it as a bout, not an ESPN bout. I watch everything on streams anyway, so it doesn't make much difference to me, if something is ESPN or PPV

Broner just said he wants Burns next. Lets see if the Scott has the balls to fight him (should he beat Vasquez).

Broner wants another tuneup before he moves up against the titlelist at 140 pounds.

broner basically said he wants garcia at 140 after burns. also if he's close friends with peterson it means they probably wont fight.

    holt winning easy so far
