Watching the 'Eagles' documentary on Showtime. Not too shabby. I already knew the history of the group, but it's a cool trip watching the timeline of these guys unfold.

 

A cooler trip would be one where a plane carrying them crashes in the Andes and they are forced to cannibalize each other

 

LOL... I guess you're not a fan. I love groups that sound great live. I caught the Eagles as a teenager in 1979 and then again as an adult in 1994. Great both times.

One thing I did learn from the documentary that I wasn't aware of is that the Eagles apparently have the best selling album of the 20th century. Nevertheless, it was fun to watch.

yeah, that greatest hits album sold a zillion copies... I think most people who buy it think "Hotel California" is on it and then realize it isn't and are like "WTF?" and then they listen to "Take It Easy" or some other damned thing instead

I dont dislike them but i'm not a big fan, either. I just don't get Morissey. It's like the Who.....it's not that i necessarily think they're bad just that they might as well be from mars as far as how well i understand where they're coming from

Johnny Marr's a big Sellik fan so he's a thumbs up

I don't mind The Smiths....I don't 'get' Morrissey at all (or actually, I don't get the almost fanatical homosexual following he gets) and I don't rate Marr as a guitarist.
