    Yep....

Doesn't Want to Fight Cain for the Title, so he's Moving Down...Dude has MORE than Enough Extra Baggage to LOSE, to Make 205...Not Sure he'd Give Jones a Good Fight, but it's INTRIGUING for Sure....

Arthur Jones is a FATASS...Chandler Jones has Undergone Years & Years of Football Related Weight Training...

Jon Isn't Called "Bones" for Nothing...He was the SAME HEIGHT, but Only 180 lbs when he Graduated High School:lol:...Granted, he'll EVENTUALLY Become a Proper Heavyweight, but Probably Not for Another Year or 2...

REED Wouldn't Mind Seeing Jones Taking Some Heavyweight Tune-Ups Though...

Cromier? Is he the love child of Crocop and Frank Mir?

That's all I'm saying. It's in his genes to be a big dude. I would guess he doesn't do much weight training becuase he can't bulk up much and still make 205.

Jones is a huge 205 lber. There is no way he makes the weight easily.

I agree. I guess Machida deserves the shot based on the win over Henderson, but I don't see him bringing anything new to the table in a rematch against Jones. And Henderson looked so slow and awkward against Machida, he'd be choked out by Jones with little to no problem.

I'd rather see Texiera or Gustafson fight Jones. Maybe even Mousasi if he gets by Gustafson. But I can't think of any good reason why anyone Jones had already beaten convincingly to get a rematch.

Well, didn't Machida win the first round against Jones? With a guy as good as Jones, that's a heck of a start to justifying a rematch.
"He's just smart. He kicked really hard. He knew his range. He has great tactics and definitely he was a very tough puzzle," Jones told UFC analyst Joe Rogan.

Jones' unwillingness to fight him last year also implies that Jones knows he's a potentially tough fight.

Personally, I'd like to see Gustafsson get a shot, but whatever. Machida or Henderson also makes some sense.

even in boxing, fighters don't usually do well when they move down from heavy to cruiser or light heavy.

it might have been due to age, but look at roy jones, chris byrd, and even toney.

at the end of the day, when you move down in weight to fight the smaller guy, you also become the smaller guy.

i don't think cormier would have any advantage over jones when they fight. jones is used to fighting highly more skilled, faster guys while cormier's used to fighting sluggish heavyweights. i'd say jones whups him thoroughly. would be cool to see a competitive fight though.

I am not sure Machida even won the first round. It was pretty much a feeling out round. Nobody did any sort of damage.

I doubt that Cormier goes to 205. I know he talked about it but I'll believe it when I see it. I heard his kidney's were in very bad shape due to all the weight cutting he did back in his wrestling day's

His kidney's nearly failed. I think he's a guy who instead of getting into proper shape he was just cutting way too much weight. He needs to get down close to 205 and not cut very much if he doesn't want to fuck up his kidneys.

And since this thread is about wmma, I just saw that Holly Holm (boxing champ) gonna fight at the next Bellator. I'm far from a wmma fan, but if Holm ever makes it to the UFC, her vs Rousey would be a fight I'd be interested in.

There is no reason to believe Holm would not be submitted within a minute.

It's a perfect example of what would happen to a high level boxer, inexperienced in mma (I assume), fighting an mma fight.

Shergog's article talking about the upcoming Bellator claims that she seemed well rounded in her previous mma fights

Seconds later, Greg Jackson sneezed, and Andre Arlvoski was knocked unconscious.

WSOF, rather than Bellator, looks to be picking up all of the UFC castoffs. They just signed Fitch and Volkmann.

It's amazing. WSOF is compiling a decent roster of fighters. Maybe they'll stage a few more event. I'm looking forward to the card on March 23.

Look how small Mir is off the juice and look how big Carmouche is on it.

UFC 157 did an estimated 450-500k PPV buys. It looks like the UFC has another big seller on their hands.

I think it was obvious this fight was going to sell big. All the media were on it as it was an ''event''. Now that the novelty factor has wear off, it reamains to be seen if Rousey can still sell PPV

I don't know dude. I think she's riding a huge momentum train. I think novelty played a part but I also think she has an appeal beyond just the novelty. And another win via arm bar just feeds the myth!!!!
