At 140? It's okay...good first fight/tune up for Broner. I don't know how it prepares him for Matthysee, Rios, Garcia...but decent tune up.

COOL.....but not really sure Malignaggi fights at 147? i guess but he's really a 140pounder...but whatever after that jump he will probably stay around and fight at 140, Bradley at 147 right now is just DUMB...

Sure...he beat the russian or ukrainian ....after re-reading my post..What I meant to say is that Malignaggi is not a real 147 sure he has a title but he could probably easily make 140 pounds. He is a small/weak 147 pounder.

I don't know who the champions are at 140(Garcia, who else?) but maybe Broner is just wants a tune up, pick up a title against a NAME opponent and get a feeling for the 140's. I doubt he will campaign at 147 vs. stronger, no name opponents...he will go back to 140 and fight Garcia, Matthyssee, and Rios/Alvarado winner...

Tbh, Malignaggi has the WBA 147 belt...so if Broner wins he'll win a title at a third weight class at 23.

That's not the way Floyd moved up when he was young at all.

Seriously, it would piss me off big time if he started referring to himself as a three weight world champion after beating Malignaggi.

Yeah, choof, it's just the way he's been since losing to Castillo. Broner has already started emulating the older, more obnoxious, more cowardly Floyd.

That's nice....Broner isn't 1/4 as skilled as Floyd...even if he takes the road of least resistance eventually he will get KTFO...

The belts all need abolished. We should just start IGNORING them. Ignore them and they'll go away, no?

Yep, I don't even know who owns which belt these days, but in most cases have a general idea who the "champ" is - and it isn't Malignaggi

Officially, Paulie is a two-weight world champion. Remarkable when you think about it.

I have no interest in the belts... Haven't paid attention to them in at least a decade
