    I think he'll stop Paulie.

Broner hits a lot harder than Khan, and a lot more accurately.

mikE can spew whatever bullshit he likes... these belts are highly devalued, at least as any sort of descriptor of quality... if he wants to argue their usefulness to fighters as bargaining chips, that's cool... but in terms of meaning anything beyond that, no

To be fair to Zab, as overrated as he was, he was the genuine champ and had lineage for that moment. A weak champion sure, but a legitimate one.

his choice of malignaggi? with so many interesting fights at 140? makes me wonder about broner's chin. this is crap. at least pbf took on some of the best early in his career (castillo and corrales). i can already tell broner's gonna be the next "p4p" all time ducker like rjj/pbf. except he's gonna skip all together the good work that rjj and pbf did early on. gbp's next fraud.

I don't see him having much problem carrying the weight. It's not like Paulie is a legit welter anyway. Paulie's a natural junior welter, and Broner's really a junior welter himself.

Paulie doesn't even have the legs and reflexes that he once had. After a few rounds of finding his range, Broner will be tagging Paulie at will.

Same and that's not even an exaggeration, I mean I really have no idea who holds what belt in any division.

You guys are really slipping as boxing fans. I'm not one to talk though, I'm not sure I can even name 3 boxers from the 140lb division much less three 140lb belt holders.

It''s not nearly the accomplishment it used to be. These day it seems like you could be walking down the street and trip over some vacant alphabet belt and if you pick it up...you are now a "world champion".

Broner looked visibly shook when Guerrero called him out to come to 147. Obviously he doesn't see Malignaggi as a threat at all.

God, this place has become a shithole of whiney little bitches.

Why is Malignaggi getting a nice payday? Because he has a belt.

Why is Broner fighting Malignaggi? Because he has a belt that Broner wants.

Why does the fight make sense? Because this is Broner establishing himself at 147 in order to line up a Floyd fight. Broner isn't talking shit and sitting down at 135 looking to get a JMM pass to 147 to fight Floyd and getting embarrassingly outclassed. Rather, he is giving promoters and HBO something to work with. And the reason it works is because of the belt involved and to a lesser extent, Paulie's name recognition (which is due to belts).

If Broner can carry the weight, he might be lining himself up to get Floyd at the right time. I'm interested in seeing how it plays out.

Floyd would never fight a guy like Broner at this point in his career.

If Broner chases Floyd out of the sport, he'll 'win' anyway.

Broner keeps on saying he won't fight Floyd because he's his friend. Maybe that will change in time, but as of now, defending a Malignaggi fight because it sets up a Floyd fight isn't accurate.

  30. ILLUMINATI

Why NOT? It's an easy victory...and Mayweather likes those type of fights....he might just squeeze in Broner in that 6 fight deal...Guerrero, Ortiz II, Berto(after a win or two), Hungry Lion III, Malignaggi if he doesn't look horrendous vs. Broner/Or if he makes him look bad, Broner if he doesn't get beat by Malignaggi or losses waiting for his turn.
