Well, I am going stick to my guns that Silva's take down defense is garbage. Weidman is a huge MW with great wrestling. But unlike Sonnen, he's also got power in his hands and very good BJJ. Little known fact: Weidman knocked out current TUF favorite Uriah Hall in 2010

I can't see GSP as ducking Silva at all. It would be like saying Silva is ducking Jones, or Floyd is ducking Martinez. There's a huge size difference between them.

I think, mexi is right. It's like saying pacman is reluctant to fight Klitschko bros. Well of course not that big a difference but the more I see of GSP lately I wouldn't want him against Silva anymore. Few years back I'd have said he might have a chance but he seems to be declining. THere are Hendricks and Ellenberger which are great match-ups at his weight class, that I wanna see more. As for what he can say about weidman-Silva. Hell I could say Weidman would beat Silva and you can bet i'm reluctant as hell to fight Anderson so who are we to tell a p4p top 3 guy what he can and can't do.
Weidman's takedowns are not as good as Sonnens. I don't think Weidman will have the same success as Sonnen did taking Anderson down. Sonnen comes at you full speed and doesn't stop until he's got you down. I have never seen Weidman take someone down like that. He's got good wrestling but he's not going to take Anderson down at will like Sonnen. I think Silva's TDD will look much better in this fight than in the Sonnen fight.

He Could've Simply Said, "Weidman's My Friend, I Think He'll Win"...GSP Went BEYOND that, Basically Saying it was a Bad Matchup for Silva, that Weidman would Surprise People by Stopping him EARLY & THEN Giving Weidman an Out, Saying Silva was Fighting Him @ the RIGHT Time (Recovering from an Injury)... yeah there was definitely some extra juice in that response from GSP. No doubt GSP wants nothing to do with Silva and is hoping he loses.
