Yep, that's the main problem with Braddles at elite level, he just can't punch. I'm surprised Prov looked as bashed up as he did actually, I guess clean punches just do damage even if they're not that hard.

I'd probably lean towards Rios too, if he stops Alvarado again, which he probably will.

Berto IS shit, but Bradley isn't some elite fighter himself.

On one hand, Bradley is more durable than Berto, and is ususally more responsible defensively (Berto's defense is HORRIBLE).

On the other hand, Berto hits A LOT harder than Bradley, and has faster hands.

So what's to keep Guerrero off Bradley?

Guerrero-Bradley is virtually a pick em, and neither one really has a shot at beating Floyd. Gurerrero is gonna be too slow, and too open to hit to beat Floyd, and Bradley is far too open and he has no power to make Floyd respect him.

Meaning that, there's more of a threat in Floyd facing a Canelo or Trout.

I'd take Bradley over Rios at welterweight. Unless Bradley has a tough time recovering from that fight yesterday. Everyone reacts differently to beatings and concussions.

Provo just naturally busts up. His face has gotten busted up in every fight I've seen of him.

Which is why I laughed at the thought of you saying he's a "pick em" with a prime Tszyu.

Tszyu would have sliced Provo's ugly face to pieces.

I didn't say Nikov was a pick em with Tszyu, I said Braddles was.

Tszyu was a front runner, and just nowhere near as good as people think. I mean really, his best win is Judah.

He could pull it off, but he's gonna have to put in the type of performance he gave against Peterson. Now mind you, the Peterson fight was 4 years ago and Bradley was in his mid 20's then. Not saying he's past his prime yet, but he's not getting any younger or better either.

Bradley doesn't have a win as good as a young Judah at 140.

    Yeah, you're right. My bad.

Tszyu didn't have as much heart Bradley, but it wouldn't matter.

He'd have given Bradley a vicious beating, and there's nothing Bradley could have done to stop it.

You had to put HURT on Tszyu to have a chance. Tszyu would walk through Bradley's punches like nothing.

And if any fight can end a prime... Bradley took a beating last night.

Who's to say Bradley would even BEAT a young Judah?

Even if Bradley did win vs a prime Zab, which is no sure thing, Zab would have bounced his ass off the canvas several times, that I can assure you.

Anyone with ears. When he said Bradley was hurting Provo more than he was hurting Bradley, I almost muted the broadcast. According to Jones, Provodnikov was seriously hurt on like 4 or 5 occasions. Personally I don't think he was ever badly hurt. Even the body shot that got him early wasn't crippling or anything.

This is what kills me with boxing, bs of this nature. It's not enough that we are sat there watching shit happen with our own two eyes, but we have to be treated to the Emperors New Clothes routine at the same time. If an American fighter came to Europe and dished out a beating like that and didn't get the decision there would be outrage in America. When Bradley came to England and floored Witter, he got the nod, and rightly so.

I disagree... Bradley always does that, always stops to chuck the leather, he can't help himself... He'd do it again...

Are you suggesting this was a robbery of some kind? You don't know how to score a fight, then

As far as Roy saying that stupid shit, you conveniently ignore the other American analyst (Kellerman) continuing to disagree with his statements as well as all the guys here saying "WTF is Roy talking about?" during the fight

Enough with this damned fantasy of conspiracy you have been wallowing in for years

Had Bradley gone down in the second, I feel a 10-7 round would have been appropriate. It's ridiculous how judges are conservative with their scoring, they score a close round that could have gone either way a 10-9, just the same as the second round in this fight where Provodnikov nearly killed Bradley.

I never said it was a robbery. In my opinion, when a guy comes to rely on a handful of 10-8 rounds, he's in trouble, and stands a fair chance of being outpointed. Running out of rounds, basically. What I AM saying is that if Bradley did, in Europe, to Provodnikov, what Provodnikov did to Bradley, that a lot of people would be calling the usual "robbery" stuff.

I never said Provodnikov won the fight. He did win the fight as it happens, but under the 10 Point Must, he lost. Simples.

I keep hearing how "Vegas Judges" {albeit the fight was in California not Nevada} favour the aggressive fighter, yet we have seen guys like Maidana, Mathysse and now Provodnikov lose close fights where they did the pressing and threw, and landed, the heavier leather. As inappropriate as it is to reward mindless flailing {sort of like the online ramblings of steve_dave} there does come a point where the 10-Point-Must makes a mockery of the proceedings. Bradley no more won the "fight" than I did, its hard to win a fight when you spend significantly large portions of it being bounced around the ring like a spare writer in the drunk tank in St Johns. Eventually, winning a boxing contest takes on some moot irrelevancy thanks to the neurological issues of the supposed victor.

oh, Irish is off on one of his "everyone is in a conspiracy against white people/males/white males/Europeans/non-black people/anyone who shares an attribute with me that I think is significant" tangents. the "men's rights" reddit must be slow today.

Yep, and it is not uncommon for a ref to make the 'wrong' call at first, and then see how hurt a fighter is and change his call to a knockdown. This was a perfect example of where that would have been appropriate.
