Wale Omotoso reminded me of Ike...better right hand, much worse left hand, but built like him and kept the gloves high for the most part like him.

Of course you are correct. And a lot, but not all, of the robbery calls would be from people who didn't watch the fight.

I have a feeling we don't have much time left to enjoy the fighting style of Mr. Bradley. That guy who seems to have great recovery, but gets hurt a lot and seems like he's still fighting while out on his feet. Fighters like that hit the wall hard. Those concussions catch up to them quickly.

Eventually they start going down, and not getting back up again, or their reflexes go entirely.

Yep. Bradley would be smart to wait at least a few months before even considering going back to a boxing gym.

 I am off to watch Abraham vs Miranda, Part Un, if that fight took place in America, Miranda would have won. :bears:

I was in College all day, as it happens.

Provodnikov is clearly an Asiatic of some description.

Is that the one where one of the combatants suffered a broken jaw and was given two hours to recover?

Who's the American in AA/Miranda? Or do you just mean the black guy?

    The ref.

But because he was in Germany, his actions were the responsibility of Germany.

Surely you must be Ike Turner?

If you're talking about Quartey......... Omotoso isn't good enough to be a sparring partner for a prime Quartey.

It's okay if current fighter is as good or better than an earlier generation fighter. I know your ilk can't comprehend that, but it's the truth.

Omotoso probably isn't as good as Quartey, but he has similarities and he has room for improvement.

If Vargas had any kind of power, Lucky Boy would have a KO loss on his ledger.

Wale "probably" isn't as good as Ike? You must be trolling, or high.

Two COMPLETELY different classes of fighter here. It's like comparing Joel Julio to Trinidad.

I don't see much for Lucky Boy to improve. He's already 27. And he can improve all he wants, he's simply not a fraction as talented as Ike.

Ike would have wiped out Jesse Vargas within 4 rounds.

They are similar. For starters, they're both from Africa.

    Good point.

Ben Tackie reminded me a lot of Azumah Nelson.

No he can go back to the gym...but no sparring. That might have been one of the problems of why he got beaten up by the Rusky....he had to lose 30-40 pounds.

Christ Almighty, what's with all these excuses for Bradley?

The guy was never a Ray Leonard level talent to begin with.

Holt showed us years ago that Timmy could be seriously hurt and dropped.

He has an alright chin, it's not nearly as bad as trash-Khan's, but it's not the best chin either. He recovers very well, and has an absurd amount of heart. However, his chin and defense were never anything to write home about.

That would make Corrales the 2nd coming of Bob Foster.

Honestly, depends on what kind of post-concussion symptoms he has (if any)

Everyone reacts differently. But for some, even regular ol' exercise can fuck you up. Bradley strikes me as the kind of guy who'd ignore such symptoms as a point of pride.

I hope I'm not making excuses....by saying he had to lose 30-40 pounds...

It's not like Bradley has fought complete bums then got wrecked by Rusky......he went 12 rounds with Pacquiao and at no time was anywhere near as hurt as he was with Rusky..

Pac never TRIED to put any real hurt on Timmy. Provo did. Everytime Pac hit Timmy flush, he hurt him, then he would hold back and let Timmy recover. He was simply content with outboxing Bradley.

Outside of Pac, Provo and Holt are the two biggest punchers Timmy faced, and in both fights he was in big trouble.

And Provo didn't wreck him either. Simply gave him Hell, and damn near stopped him.

If Provo was actually blessed with something called SPEED, then Timmy would have been a wrecked man.

I'd say Pac tried pretty hard to put hurt on him, especially to the body... it's one fo the reasons he actually won the fight

Pac's power at the higher weights is overrated and always has been, that's the difference

Talent is thin on the ground, Bradley, it was hoped, could carry the fight, but....he's creaking now, so the excuses get rolled out. The rough-hewn sorts are multiplying, and innately superior but numerically inferior guys like Bradders are buckling under the strain. Ward is next.

It is the Simian Asiatics one major shortcoming. He'll have to do it with numbers and with guts. There's no refinement.

Numbers game, baby!!!! 800 million swarmers, not organized, but READY TO FIGHT!!! :bears:
