WTF? Are you gonna pretend that Alvarado isn't a BIG junior welter? Granted, Alvarado's no world beater, but he is one of the bigger guys at 140 and prior to Rios had never had any serious damage done to him. If Bradley got into a firefight with Rios, there's literally no way he's winning. Rios has bigger guns, a better chin, his offense is a lot more complete than Provo's is. It's possible that Provo has more raw power than Rios, but Bam Bam puts together his punches much better than Provo, has better handspeed, is a better in-fighter, and has a wider variety of punches.
I give Bradley an excellent shot at beating Rios IF he boxed and moved. Standing toe-toe-toe with Rios is far more dangerous.
This. Rios can be beaten, but not by trading with him. In order to win that, you have to have bigger guns. Matthyse could win a firefight with Rios, and possible Provo, but that's about it. Rios stops Braddles if Timmy's STUPID enough to go to war with him. No doubt in my mind. Braddles would have to swallow his pride, and box Rios. And even STILL, he'd get damage done to him. Bradley's no defensive specialist, and he's not some great skilled fighter.
Not at all. Alvarado's pretty big... but also very ordinary. Bradley would be a totally different fight. I think it's fair to say Bradly didn't have any respect for Prov. He learned the hard way early. I'm not saying Rios wouldn't beat Bradley... but I'd make Bradley a big favourite unless he's damaged now. The 'no way' stuff is where I disagree with you.
I don't think 147 would be a big stretch for Rios against Bradley, because I still don't see Braddles as a LEGIT welter. I don't care what he came into the ring as, he's still closer to being a natural junior welter than he is a welter.
