Weighing up The Knife in London next month. My friend has a spare ticket but money is tighter than a cat's fanny. Either way one thing's certain - if I pay to go they'll announce a gig in Glasgow shortly after and if I don't they won't

How much would it cost on the train from Glasgow - London, is that viable ?

David Byrne is touring the UK in August. I'm hoping to make it over for the Glasgow or London gig

Train's usually just over 100. Sometimes about 130. Train prices in britain are wild, it's cheaper driving most places. Sometimes I just megabus it which is a bit of an ordeal but stupidly cheap. I think it was 20 quid return last time i did it.

i was gonna buy me & my Dad David Byrne tickets for his birthday, so thats another headwind to the knife.

That seems a little expensive, surely you could fly for 100-130

Yeah, its about the same price. I'd much rather get the train though.

How many pages back is it? I could give you an extensive drunken response now if you like? It'll probably circle round to a Paul McStay highlights vid somehow, but it'll make sense to me.

Yeah it's a pretty fucked up playlist. I was attending discotheques in the mid 80's, hence sometimes that shit gets a run.
