I know its a little early for final predictions, but fuck it I'm gonna post it anyway. I got Trout via UD here.
I think Trout will outbox him, but yes, I could see Canelo getting a bullshit decision. And how is too early for final predictions? The fight is only a week away.
Alvarez by Decision in a close fight.... +Mayweather even though he has already shown he doesn't want to fight Alvarez...will used the less than spectacular victory of Alvarez as an excuse to get himself further away from fighting him.
Hopefully Canelo wins. I think it'll be close. Trout probably has to win 9 clear rounds to get the nod.
just curious but what reason does mayweather jr have to fear alvarez? are we talking about the same guy, saul alvarez?
Trout will likely frustrate the hell out of Proinsias Mac Carthaigh in a sort of dull fight and lose a contentious decision
if trout manages to win this fight somehow what would be his next move? if he wins it means he utterly dominated, so that basically rules him out of an alvarez rematch. mayweather jr wont want to fight a considerably bigger and skilled southpaw at 154lbs. the hbo/golden boy beef kinda fucks trout over from getting a golovkin fight, which Im positive he wouldve been pushed into if he beat alvarez on HBO.
I'm still stuck in two minds on this one. I can see Trout outboxing Canelo to a points decision win, but I can see Canelo applying constant and effective pressure throughout and win on points.
I just don't see what some see. Canelo is just not that skilled and he struggled with ALFONSO GOMEZ for fucks sake. A prime Cotto mopped the floor with him some years back. His biggest win is over a faded Mosley and despite hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink, still couldn't KO him. I don't see how he KOs a slick fighter like Trout who appears to take a decent shot plus has more experience. Barring any robbery, Trout should win this.
canelo hits hard. mosley is a survivor. if trout wins, he'll have done so with holding and won't deserve to have won. canelo's inexperience will actually help him here.
Interesting view. Canelo's plodding and immobility will be his downfall here. Yes, he hits hard, but Trout's slick southpaw style will make trouble for Canelo. I see Canelo being outboxed in rounds 1-3, getting desperate in 4-6, and finally stopped in round 9. Stylistically, I see a nightmare for Canelo.
well yeah. that's true by the way. seriously though. unlike cotto who was too careful for his own good against trout, not to mention his lacking power, canelo, who's not yet lost and who believes in his power, will do what he has to to win.
canelko by dec trout will fight like a bitch and it will be close, but the aggresion of caneleo will give him a deserved win.
