Povetkin's manager Hjurnov won the purse bid, set by WBA, to promote Wlad vs Povetkin. He promised purses 23 million bucks, with 75 % Wlad, 25 % Povetkin. So far Povetkin has backed out twice from meeting Wlad, perhaps this four million confirms him to take the fight. I am not too optimistic yet though

Povetkin sure didn't win shit. Vitali is the Klitschko to target these days, not Wlad. The only exception might be someone with a big punch and no stamina.

Otherwise, everyone has a better chance against Vitali and that very much includes Povetkin.

Povetkin spelled his faith by accepting the toilet paper belt from WBA while Wlad was their champion

Can they transmit the pay per view back to 2007 when somebody gave a fuck?

Isn't this the truth. As much as I like undefeated records, it's okay to lose if you don't let it hurt you.

It's especially okay to lose when the stakes are high and you are getting paid well. Povetkin should be going for his rematch right now, not his first fight with a Klitschko.

Does anyone knows how much $$$$ Wlad gets in television rights for his fights ? This could actually be a paycut for Wlad and explain the reason for such a high bid from Povetkin mangaer ( Wlad walks away from the bout and Povetkin becomes the real WBA champ ). Still, I don't expect this guy follow through

Does winning the purse bid give you all television rights to the fight? Seems like that would be beyond what a sanctioning body could control, but maybe not.

Of course. Promoter decides who he works with

Yeah, you must be correct. Then I would say to Azazel that there is no way Wlad would be looking at a pay cut. It wouldn't make sense.

i wish wald pussy would get whipped so bad he's washing winnebagos in wolverhampton the following wednesday but unfortunately it seems more likely povetkin will be planting poinsettias in Putin's garden by presidents day. this big bag of russian shit has as much chance of beating wald pussy as cupey alto does at medaling in olympic tetherball

Wladimir Klitschko, also known as "Wlad", has an older brother named Vitali.

Just by looking at the troll quality, you know Fightbeat has taken quite a dump. We used to have legends like Ruizisgod, Statistics and Boyskov Voskov (the last 2 were probably the same guy though) and now were reduced to the christian dude (who's name I already forgot) and this guy :pathetic::pathetic:

    :l2:interesting information.

Btw there are strong suspicions about this purse offer. It was three times the amount K2 was willing to pay. The question is, why would someone pay this much for this fight as it is almost impossible to make money from it. There are two theories: 1) this manager has connections to not-so-legal people (there are strong rumors about this) and there is money laundering going on or 2) the promotion will fall through because of some "unexpected problems" and the fight is cancelled once again
