Because Alexander is unlikely to offer the sort of stern physical tests that other fighters will, and Khan can fill out at 147 more.

True. Khan will be digging salt deeper into the wound as far as Gay Brook's concerned. Three times his fight with Alexander was called off and Khan could well get a crack at Alexander before him.

That is the modern British scene for you. Let's not fight each other but conduct our affairs in one long, drawn-out game of one-ups-manship.

Though REED Ultimately Picked the WRONG Guy, his Thoughts on Garcia Remain UNchanged...Solid, (Slightly) Above Average Fighter that ISN'T Nearly as Good as his Ol' Man Thinks...

This fight was another score for not writing fighters off as 'shot' because of one loss.

    It's surreal with Khan.

How can a fighter of his level still get treated like a fucking superstar? The guy is nothing at world level, like you said, he is barely able to beat the likes of Julio Diaz.

Surely he can't sell that many tickets or generate that much cash. He should be a gatekeeper type at this stage.

And yeah, so much for all the morons blaming Roach for Khan being such a scrub, he looks worse than ever :laugh11:

It's a good target for them. Not a guaranteed win by any means, but a very winnable fight.

His fanbase will never stop supporting him. They think he's a rockstar or some shit. Pakis & Indian Muslims everywhere - UK, US - love him. I can't even get on twitter after a Khan fight without having an aneurysm.

Fair enough then I guess, I just didn't realise he still had that many fans. My perception in the UK at least is the hype surrounding Khan has dissipated quite a bit. But maybe the Pakistani and Indian fanbase is enough.

For the record I don't even mind Khan these days, at least in the sense that I find his fights entertaining, and like his heart at least. He makes for some pretty absurd scraps, and I love his baby deer dance.

that's right. because ultimately, your assessment of a fighter's ability has nothing to do with who he beats, but rather how well he fits your narrow criteria. garcia's just not Nike enough for your taste. He could beat everyone at 140, and he just might, and you'd still say he's just okay.

I was rooting for Judah, but was impressed with some of Garcia's trickery.

This is where I am. Khan has no tools but an absurd amount of heart and fight about him and this makes for really entertaining fights.
