regardless of who's fault it was, showtime was hurt worse by it

Agree with Hut that the 24/7 thing definitely helps draw the casual observer to fights and may encourage them to buy... My brother-in-law doesn't follow or comprehend boxing at all and even he told me that he has found himself glued to those episodes

The Showtime version is very poorly done in comparison

i saw a bit of showtimes all access and it seemed about the same as 24-7. HBO does have more subscribers though

The Showtime version is like "Fisher price, my first 24/7".

Showtime has gained a lot of ground on HBO in terms of subscibers. 22 million for Showtime and 28 for HBO.

Interesting. I'd like to think it was because of their boxing, but without looking, I'd guess Dexter.

NEITHER are High Quality Productions & they're Very SIIMILAR, to REED...If REED Didn't Notice a Difference, he Doubts the MAINSTREAM Boxing Fan Noticed Either...Like you Noted, Fewer Subscribers would B a LARGER Factor than Production...

The cinematography, music, editing, and voice over in 24/7 shit all over Showtime's version from a great height. Showtime's production is pretty basic, 24/7 is slick and well made.

AgREED. They're a little fustian/OTT at times, but the voice overs especially are always much more engaging and lyrical on 24/7.

Liev Schreiber has a terrific voice for it. Showtime should hire him.

The show Homeland is what mostly helped them lately.
