I'm glad the PPV numbers are shit, and I hope showtime loses money on this fight. Maybe then they will put some pressure on Mayweather to fight someone that actually has a decent chance. They sure as hell didn't sign him to a 6 fight contract so he can get rich while they lose money.

Also, I think the fact that Pacquiao lost hurts Mayweather's appeal. What should have been a short story--Floyd and Pacquiao meet immediately after they become the biggest fight in a long, long time--turned into a long, drawn out epic. So long as they both kept winning, the appeal of that story still existed. Now? Not nearly as much. Since Floyd isn't really a compelling and likable character, but a compelling villain, it's easy enough to ignore the fights that provide little risk on paper. Like Guerrero.

Paulie has the best Smack Talk Pills in the business. Paulie has a loading cycle then a cutting cycle. First he loads up on insults, then he cuts the shit out of you. Off Season Paulie smack talks for 10 hours a day, and he has it down to a 3 minute routine by competition time.
